H. Jon Benjamin is the voice actor.

He also hilariously played Coach McGuirk on Home Movies, which I am a major fan of.

It helps if, in your head, David Attenborough narrates.

Someone who can be fairly described as nice is of course not always nice, in the same way that someone who can be fairly described as honest has surely done some lying along the way.

That said, I agree that "nice" wouldn't be among the first descriptors I would give myself.

If this is RoundGuy, he plays the game well.

If this really is Mrs. RoundGuy, then their conversations make a lot more sense.

I too think of death daily, not in a good way. Like someone else said, I'm mainly sad I won't make it to the day that death is cured. We can't be too far from transplanting a brain into a robot or HD can we? It also saddens me that even if I did survive to see that happen, I really have nothing to offer that makes me a candidate for the procedure, I'm definitely not one of the great thinkers of our time, and surely I couldn't afford it. The Mark Twain quote helps sometimes. I'm getting to the age where minor health issues really drive the eventuality home despite being, for the most part, pretty healthy. It also doesn't help that I basically live with death now. For the past few years I've been taking care of my grandmother who will turn 100 in a few months, so every day I wait for her to wake up, wondering if she kicked off last night or not.

My dad and one of my brothers went up to the mountains a few days ago to go fishing. I didn't think it was a great idea (and I had to work anyway) but they camped out in the middle of nowhere. Meh.

Anyway, the point is that since I didn't go of COURSE they proceeded to catch more big wild browns than I've ever seen at one time. Figures.
This is about half of the pics they sent me.
I guess they basically used light bass gear with ~10lb test for the bigger fish, and only caught a few on the fly rod.
Im definitely getting cabin fever now.

LOL, not even close to true.

Just how much money do you need to be among the global 1 percent?

According to the 2018 Global Wealth Report from Credit Suisse Research Institute, you need a net worth of $871,320 U.S. Credit Suisse defines net worth, or “wealth,” as “the value of financial assets plus real assets (principally housing) owned by households, minus their debts.”

Really?

I googled and got something totally different before I posted. That an annual income of around 33k would put you there.

I'm not disagreeing just saying I didn't shoot from the hip. I'll look further but obv your link is right there.

One amount for net worth and a different for annual income can both be true. They are measuring different things.

Quote:
Interestingly, Americans do not have to be extremely wealthy, in order to claim a spot among that 1%. A $32,400 annual income will easily place American school teachers, registered nurses, and other modestly-salaried individuals, among the global 1% of earners.
Quote:
Even so, many middle-class Americans who have spent years paying down their mortgages and saving for retirement belong to the upper echelon of the world's wealthy.Federal Reserve data suggests that the top 1% of American households claim

The Flip Side: True Poverty
Poverty is the chief impediment blocking most people from achieving the top 1% of global wealth. Case in p8int: in India, the typical adult claims just $7,024 in assets, while the average African adult citizen holds only $4,138 in total wealth. This is radically different than the average American and European adult, who respectively possesses $403,974 and $144,903 in wealth.9

In short, the exclusive club we refer to as the “top 1%” in global income includes millions of Americans. What does that tell us? It's something we should constantly bear in mind: The citizens of developed countries tend to be far more affluent than most people on earth.

Right. I was surprised there's that degree of disparity between 1% in annual income and overall wealth. Makes sense tho.
