He needed more practice, but his mother kept taking his controller away as a punishment.
Thanks, Mom!

I know, but am I going to risk being defenseless to abide by their rules? No. After all, a gun free zone didn't stop this shooter. If for what ever reason they do determine I'm carrying, they can ask me to leave and I'll abide. And as for the casino there's no visual sign saying no guns in the poker room, only on the gambling floors. I'm not going to specify the specific casino though.

Thanks NRA!
This 'loon' legally aquired his firearm in his home state of Maryland, a gun control paradise. Blaming the NRA is illogical. If you want to stop shootings like this, you should try using logic.

If i had a gun and was present? No, I may not have been in a place to take a shot, but if I was it would have been effective.

I've met lots of survivors of gunshot wounds, but I've never met a gun owner who wasn't a crack shot.

I'm cross-posting this from NVG thread in case the author is still browsing this thread.

---

To follow up on Post #28, I'm being 100% misquoted in an article about the tragedy.

Search "[my name] Mass Shooting" on Google News and it should be the first article that pops up.

"The famous poker player was not the only one to fear that something as terrible could happen at a poker tournament. In a thread on the popular Two Plus Two forum, several users said that such a possibility was just “a matter of time”. One of them, David Huber, also a poker player, admitted that he has contacted WSOP via email and social media, expressing his concerns. He was often mocked for being paranoid, he said, adding that he had never received a response from poker event organizers.

Huber mentioned that it would be a great idea if casinos not only install metal detectors but also invest in increased security measures and even the use of dogs. Other players pointed out that there was a similarity between the Jacksonville shooter’s behavior and the behavior often expressed by poker players at tournaments, especially if they are losing. The shooter was described as being “weird”, wearing the same clothes for two days, refusing a handshake with his opponent, and more."

I never said ANY of this in the 2+2 "Other Other Topics" thread referenced ( https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/3...event-1721204/ ), nor have I conducted any interviews on this topic since the tragedy occurred. The quotes placed in that article are actually contrary to my view (See Post #28).

I have ZERO idea where the author "Benjamin Barry" is getting these quotes and paraphrasing from, but it's not from me or my posts.

EDIT: I have reached out to the website via Twitter. https://twitter.com/dhubermex/status...07917770596352

Even if you had a shot you'd still most likely end up shooting an innocent instead.

the author of that article somehow understood that 2+2 is a popular forum, but didn’t grasp that other people can post their own opinions in a thread that you started

he is attributing Dr Meh’s post #10 in this thread to you, probably because your name is under the thread title in the main forum. i guess this author believes every post in every thread is written by the same person. pretty dumb

Most PD's have very poor training when it comes to marksmanship. Luckily for the two innocent women that survived the 103 bullet hailstorm cut loose by L.A. cops.
