Ugh, I feel so dirty. It won't become a habit.

But on that subject I'm not going to start any more in-depth threads about my life for a while, I'm becoming too predictable.

There are parts of the country that put ketchup on brisket?
03-20-2011 , 12:16 PM
I don't think I've ever had brisket, or was even aware that it was so highly regarded. In fact, I can't recall ever having any BBQ outside of ribs/pulled pork. What else have I been missing?

Holy crap just made some insane corned beef hash. There are pictures and that **** did happen.

Don't read that last sentence, lfs.

I had to go outside around 12:45a to pick up the lid of the Weber which had been blown off and was rolling around on the patio.

status seen on facebook today :

There comes a point in your life when "FUN" no longer means bar hopping, clubbing & being out til 4am! It means DVD's, going out for family dinners, bedtime stories, and sleeping at 10pm. Becoming a parent doesn't change you ... It makes you realise that the little people you created deserve the very best of your time! Re-post this if you are PROUD to be a parent and LOVE your "Boring" life!!!!! ♥

I'm too stubborn to put anything anyone else writes as my status.

"Jump on the bandwagon!"

"Sorry, I don't like to let other people drive."

it's very good, although i wouldn't really compare it to any particular region style-wise. i love that they serve potato rolls, the secret weapon of any southern grill-based cuisine be it BBQ or burgers. best dish is the pork belly. the pulled pork, sadly, is merely ok... i think the brisket is probably their second best dish but the ribs are also good. there is this kind of hipster-euro overtone to the whole thing, including the sauce. the bar is fantastic when you can get a drink. i went there for my birthday last year prior to some bowling and had a great time once i actually managed to sit down.

I live in Texas. Brisket is awesome. So is pulled pork. Forcing someone to choose is unnecessary.

Seriously, the whole territorial allegiance thing wrt food is dumb. Guess what, it's possible to like both Texas AND Carolina BBQ (and Memphis/KC/wherever else)!

k, yeah. agree that the pork belly is awesome, i really like the pulled pork as well. that bar but it's too small, and i hate the seating arrangement even though i see its necessity. going at off-peak times is a must, though.
