I know.. She will have to taper. But, im saying when she was off them and in jail she was telling me how she wants to take them for the rest of her life because she just can't imagine dealing with all of life's problems without them.

No I don't. I had to see other dr's in between my last psych dr and this new one. And I'm currently down to .5 klonopin a day and am getting off of it soon. You don't even know what your talking about. And I don't care if that means I'm not sober. I take them responsibly and for real anxiety. I don't drink or get high so I think I'm doing just fine thanks

I think they both think that they're being honest but their own psychopathology means they warp reality pretty significantly, IMO.

Oh and long term benzo dependence means you aren't fully dealing with your issues, but hopefully this is just a short term solution (relatively speaking) and you are in therapy. If you're happy to just swallow pills to make emotional issues/anxiety go away then you still have a lot of growing up to do. And benzos will **** you up good and proper. But if you're using them as prescribed as part of a short term (relatively speaking) treatment regimen that's pretty standard.
