The FBI has been building a case against Jared for years? Amazing. So it seems like the investigation into Jared is what led to the arrest of his foundation partner, not the other way around.

Although it is a little disconcerting that the Feds were investigating this for years while Jared was going around banging kids...I mean good job I guess FBI but maybe pick up the pace a bit?

what's the correct way to maintain cover here?

if she responds with outrage that he wants to bring her kids into it, does that potentially give him a clue that he's gone too far?

if she doesn't respond that way, does that potentially give him a clue that something is off?

the scariest thing about all of this is that it seems like all the pedos who get caught are unimaginably stupid and I can't help wondering what the reasonably paranoid freaks are able to get away with

If you can talk about something openly, it must be fairly normal and not all that bad. I would imagine that has something to do with why Jared sometimes confided in strangers about this stuff, to justify to himself that what he was doing was basically ok.

Stronger case, probably. I think the goal is to prevent more children from ultimately being harmed by taking him off the streets and then making it more difficult to come into contact with children in the future due to a conviction.

I would just like to say that, whether he is guilty or not, this situation in no way detracts from his accomplishments.

We shouldn't let the outcome of this case color our opinions of the man.
