"FBI agents raided iconic Subway pitchman Jared Fogle’s Indiana home amid a child porn investigation Tuesday.

The 37-year-old was detained outside of his Zionsville house as a special taskforce removed electronics from the property and took them to a mobile forensics van parked in his driveway, WTHR reported.

Fogle's wife and kids left just after the 6:30 a.m. raid began, local media reported.

He is not under arrest at this time.

In April, the executive director of the Jared Foundation — a nonprofit founded by Fogle to battle childhood obesity — was arrested on child pornography charges after investigators found more than 400 illicit videos in his Indianapolis home. Russell Taylor recorded all of the graphic footage was inside his home or his former homes between 2012 and 2015, police said."

It's technically possible that he gave a whole FBI team the consent to search his home, but quite a bit more likely that the FBI had shown probable cause necessary to get a judge to issue a search warrant for Fogle's home.

There are no details yet of what they found there, but it certainly appears that they were under the reasonable impression that they were going to find him in possession of some bad stuff.

How does this affect his sponsorships if the raid turns up nothing? I feel like if he is innocent of bad stuff that his income takes a dip here.

Apparently Jared ran a pornography rental business out of his dorm, and his extreme laziness led to his weight loss, because Subway opened on the first floor of his dorm.

Yeah, the story had always been that part of his diet was the exercise from walking to Subway. Came to learn when I lived in Bloomington that this trip consisted of one flight of steps.

He's probably not innocent, but the fact that people like me who know nothing about the situation automatically take that position, and all we're going to remember is that Jared was "busted for child porn" even if his name ends up being cleared, that means he's done as Subway pitchman and will get hatred and ridicule from random strangers any time he's recognized in public. So yes, if he didn't do anything other than have a pedophile run his charitable foundation, that really sucks for him.

I mean, Jared knew of his associate's arrest and he severed all ties with him. It stands to reason that if the FBI was simply after evidence that was somehow incriminating against the associate, Jared would have willingly cooperated and it wouldn't have been a widely-covered raid of his own home.

I'm not exactly sure what they wound find about someone else in Jared's home anyway. If there's illegal porn there, then I have to think that's at least constructive possession and is a crime in and of itself.

they found nothing on our PCs, no files or pictures transfered, but they essentially just break into your house and take everything, no warning or anything. even if its the most minor of suspicions. police give absolutely zero ****s. afterward they told us they were raiding every single IP that was in the chat. LOL solid police work. the thing that pissed me off the most was I was in multiple $60 sngs, it was all i was thinking about while they were taking away computers...lol...
