At any rate, Mirriam-Websters currently endorses its use as a synonym for 'figuratively' or 'approximately,' so it is literally impossible to misuse it now.

ETA: Oxford and Cambridge too! Lost cause fellas.
Maybe it's a lost cause, but they should add a qualifier to the "synonym for 'figuratively'" part noting that this usage is only acceptable when used by stupid people.

Going with a girl. I'll be footing most of the bill.

The bloodlust itt for poor YouFaiil is palpable.
07-25-2013 , 05:17 PM

It's funny, because I was one of the first in the country to be allowed to use a programming language for my degree language requirement in the early 80's. It's not worth too much now...

miss card readers. fun stuff dropping an arms length of cards when the auto-sorter is on the fritz.

people who have special rules for when they will hit a woman are idiots. no coincidence youfaiil espouses this position. i will hit a woman with the same consideration i would hit a man, which is pretty much never. but if it happened, i wouldn't be like "well it's a woman not gonna hit." thats dumb. come at me bro

I dunno, I feel like that approach has much less risk assessment built in. There's really no situation in which you would want to hit a person regardless of the risk of injury to yourself? Because if you're taking that into account, you're going to find situations in which you'd hit a woman but not a man.

i mean i guess id take into consideration how strong the person is, but if two people were equally strong (weak, really) but one was a man and one was a woman, i would still act teh same

yesterday morning I made a mango salad, and decided to add cherries (1-2lbs) and honeydew melon to the already already mixture of 7 chicken breasts (cubed), feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, red onion.

just had a poop smelled like potpourri. bathroom smelled better after I left it. first time ever!

tnx for listening.

compensate by eating 5 lbs of asparagus tomorrow
07-25-2013 , 09:39 PM
Correct. Hitting a woman should require the same conditions as hitting a really weak guy. In other words almost never.
07-25-2013 , 09:47 PM
I'd say the standards for violence shouldn't hinge on who somebody is, but what they're doing and what's required to make them stop doing it. (and yeah, that means you basically never hit anybody unless you're defending yourself/people who need it)

come at me sis just doesn't have the same ring to it.
