Just now I encountered the Jurassic Park theme song, and found that I might be tired of it? This can't happen. This is one of the true GOATs, still wonderful 30 years later. I know the feeling of getting tired of a song I really liked, it's happened countless times, but this should be immune. This is full-on Homer Simpson waking up in the middle of the night and realizing he hates Ted Koppel; it's unthinkable.

Hopefully just a moment of madness.

A richness of embarrassments.

I like June Prune and Crusty Moon.
What's with the Crusty

I definitely gave strong consideration to June, Prune, and Crusty Moon.

I have to give these AI bots some kind of prompt that actually describes the forum personality or I'll get a way worse result. I just opened a new chat and gave it the same prompt except without the "full of crusty people" part. This was the feedback:

Quote:
"June Jamboree: A Month of Memes and Mayhem"
"Jumpstart June: Ignite Your Online Adventures!"
"June Jaunts: Exploring the Digital Realm Together"
"Jovial June: Embrace the Joyful Side of the Internet"
"June Jive: Grooving to the Rhythm of Online Fun"
"Juniverse: Navigating the Online Universe this June"
"June Jubilation: Celebrating the Internet's Best"
"Jazzy June: Tune into the Vibrant Beat of the Web"
"June Gems: Unveiling Online Treasures and Discoveries"
"Just June: Unleashing the Power of Online Connections"
"June Jigsaw: Piece Together the Internet's Puzzles"
"Jovial June Jotting: Scribble Your Way Through the Web"
So I have to give it some gentle direction to get it to spit out something that's a bit more attuned to the OOT vibe.

Oh ah ok. That's perfect then actually

Surprisingly good suggestions this month. I am partial to "Juniverse: Where Crusties Converge LC Thread."

I spent at least five minutes thinking about why ChatGPT was obsessed with crusty in relation to the month of June. Then I finally read what you asked it.

I'm a dope.

I really enjoy Red’s posting.

I only understand what the **** is going on in it like 40% of the time.

Can someone teach me how to stream TV?

Okay, I know how to stream - we have Netflix, Prime, I stream MLB, and we have access to Apple TV. But now that DirecTV doesn't have the NFL package I have no need to stay with it. And it seems that I can't find any good info (or I'm too dumb to figure it out) on what's out there. As far as I can tell in order to find out anything to the detail I want all the streamers want you to sign up first. No thank you.

Things we need are -
Live sports. Including NFL, Major College Football (Big Ten Network is a must), and MLB that's not available on the app.
Shows on CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, and all of the standard cable channels.

Questions I have -
When does a broadcast program show up for streaming? For example, if I want to watch Survivor when is it available on Paramount+?
There seems to be some kind of consolidation of choices going on - access to other platforms from one app. What's going on with that? DirecTV wants me to sign up for a set top streaming device that they say has things like Netflix all ready loaded (still need to sign up for the other things). Is that any different than the apps loaded on my TV?
Switching between shows on Netflix or Prime is very clunky - you have to exit the show you are watching, find a new one and load it up. Yes, it doesn't take that long, but when you're used to instant switching back and forth it's an annoyance. And how would it work for live sports when the remote is your friend?

Can someone help an old guy out?

I recommend Fubo. It replicates cable, streaming all the shows at their normal broadcast time, and also lets you stream later if you missed the original screening. Their sports package has all the normal channels plus NFL network and a few other specialty channels I'm not familiar with. I think they have Big Ten, but I don't really follow college football, so I might be wrong. All you need is a Roku-compatible TV, or a Roku dongle to plug in.

It was so easy even this old guy could figure it out. It is a few seconds to switch shows, but other than that, it's a dream. I would tell DirecTV to EAD and just go with an internet provider that also offers Fubo.
