So, they're rebooting Frasier without Niles, Daphne, Roz, or of course Martin. No idea how the plug doesn't get pulled the moment that David Hyde Pierce says no.

Even realizing that they conjured the entire last supporting cast out of nowhere and even implicitly decanonized a John Mahoney Cheers episode out of existence to allow him to be Martin Crane, I cannot possibly imagine them capturing that lightning in a bottle again.

I mean I wasn't actually mad at it, but "that was his doppelganger" would irritate me more as an explanation than just "that was a continuity error."

a random local number called my cell a few minutes ago and i let it go to voicemail as one is wont to do with such things
they left a 0:30 minute message so i listened to it
some lady calling a guy named paul about needing a few more things to finalize a mortgage and she leaves a number at the end
what's your play?

Local numbers are easily spoofed. I’d wait for them to call again. If it’s actually urgent, they’ll explain it better in the next voicemail.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the thing where “local number” isn’t that strong of a tell for most. I transplanted across the country over a decade ago but never changed numbers. It’s quite useful in identifying unknown (360) numbers as spam. If I get a local call it’s always legit.

by local number i meant it was presenting as being from a suburb in my metropolitan area.
the voice sounded like Phyllis sitting at her desk and didn't have background noise like a call center or recording.

I'd probably let that go and hope she dials accurately when she tries to reach Paul again. If she calls you back, I might be tempted to answer it or text back as if you don't she will probably keep calling your # whether it is a legitimate wrong number or a scam.
