A totally unscientific survey of the market this morning shows shelf space favors peanut butter over Nutella by 20 to 1.

I tried Nutella once, declared it to be terrible tasting peanut butter, and never looked back.

Hazelnuts are fine nuts. They make a terrible flavoring for anything else though--especially coffee creamer.

Nutella is not the hazelnut butter competition to peanut butter. It's a chocolate spread with some hazelnut in it.

Philz coffee and bagel, 9 bucks and change. Feels dirty.

Also, I feel kind of douchey.
Not because I spent 9 bucks on a bagel and coffee and waited in line with all the hip hipsters, but because I paid by card, they didn't give an option for tip when I signed, and I didn't have a single dollar on me.

Goddamn that place is complicated!

Normally these gents are on point, but not today apparently.

No problem. I have prided myself on being a picky eater for my entire life, but now I refer to myself as a man of discriminating tastes. I don't expect my tastes to fall in line with those of most people.

Pull some tupperware off the shelf and one of them is heavier than it should be (I nest tupperware so this isn't unusual). Open it, and there's a sealed container of Trader Joe's ginger snaps in there. My guess is I took some stuff to my folks' place a while ago and my mom is not one to return a container empty so dropped the tub of cookies in there when returning the tupperware and I forgot about it by the time I got home (they live an hour away).

Anyway, best by date = 9/2016, so yeah, still good!

Girl scout cookie day and living next door to twin 6 year old girls a purchase was unavoidable. I'm 6 thin mints deep so far and going for 3 more now. When will I stop?
01-28-2018 , 08:37 PM
Leave two in the sleeve because you don't want to be guilty of eating a whole sleeve and leaving one is opening the door to saying eff it and eating the last one.
01-28-2018 , 08:48 PM
9 definitely did the trick. I'm not even a little tempted to have another. There are 8 left in the sleeve. There are 16 in the other unopened sleeve so maybe I only had 8.

Who in the hell eats GS Thin Mint cookies and leaves any at all in the sleeve?

If your only interest is making them last, buy more boxes!

And anyone who doesn't keep GS Thin Mint cookies in the freezer is doing it very, very wrong.
01-28-2018 , 10:09 PM
Forgot about the freezer. I'll put the rest in there. I quit eating because I was full. I'm still full. Spoiled m'supper.
01-28-2018 , 11:21 PM
the freezer? fridge is fine bro

obviously one sleeve is a serving
01-28-2018 , 11:36 PM
I've never been able to do anything but eat the whole box, then feel like crap for a few hours. Repeat the next day and each day after until all the boxes are gone.

Speaking of nutella, this was a good sandwich. A lifetime ago at this point.
02-01-2018 , 03:32 AM
I like that the bread even has your name on it.

Btw did you throw some pistachios on that sandwich too??
02-01-2018 , 07:11 AM
Lamingtons are really good out of the freezer. Not frozen, just partially defrosted. Extra good if bought from a church bake sale.

How good are girl scout cookies? What would the best and worst cookie be rated out of 10?

Nutella is almost done its sriracha-like hype train. Peanut butter is white people's grape soda.

02-01-2018 , 09:56 AM
