okay so i'm a mom

i post pictures of my kids on facebook when they do something cool or funny or if i'm proud of something.
i don't upload 169 photos to the album labeled "the most sweetest baby on this earth!"
so yeah, those people drive me up the ****ing wall. the rest of us can't post pictures or stories without getting lumped into that group.
i never ask for backpats for being a mom. i chose to be & i have to deal with whatever comes along. nobody needs to feel sorry for me if i'm busy & i can't go somewhere.

unfortunately, i have tons of friends who DO toot their own horn. like this one:

there might be that one day that i have to find that one person i went to HS with a million years ago who knows the person who lives down the street from my parents

Friend normally, prune liberally is my facebook stance. I'm happy with my 90 or so actual friends on facebook.

Is anyone here a single dad? If so we need a status like: "I am glad I am not a woman. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against women, but I keep hearing that being a single mom is the toughest job in the world. Being a single father is pretty simple and straightforward. Maybe if more women gave custody to the fathers these kids would have more stability and these troubled women would have a burden lifted from their shoulders and opportunities to thrive."

Not sure if it would be better or worse if you butchered the grammar and made some spelling errors.

Generally I think trying to start arguments about something that will make everyone defensive and about which nobody will ever change their mind is a pretty bad idea. I think you'd regret posting that if you did it, even though you seem pretty sarcastic about actually following through.

Same person and I feel bad for her b/c she doesn't really have a family. Both her parents have passed away and she is estranged from her only sibling. She has a son but seems to wish she were childless. I feel bad for her but she overshares like crazy.
