He is typically much more restrained and apologetic about his racism, but yes. He wasn't one of my frequent flyers as far as posts that belong in this thread are concerned. I suppose it's at least understandable (although still indisputably abhorrent) to have your worst prejudices surface when something happens, like getting a bunch of expensive equipment stolen.

When some jackbucket slaps my ass as I'm leaning over the bar to pay my tab, I'll sometimes go "UGH WTF I ****ING HATE MEN!" Difference is that I'm allowed to say that (even though that's still ****ed up and I shouldn't say it) because historically women have been the oppressed and not the oppressors, so nobody complains when I empty the clip about it on social media, but when a white guy makes a post like that it's totally indefensible.

I've been thinking about Cletus off and on all day because honestly his rant rubbed me the wrong way; however the more I think about it the more I forgive him and this is why:

I am taking the risk of assuming he posted this fresh off being robbed and throwing back a few drinks to drown his misery from the incident. Many of us have said very insensitive and inappropriate things in the heat of the moment fresh off a nice warming Adult intoxication.

The more I think about it the less I believe he's a hardcore racist who let his true self bubble to the surface and I think he's a really dumb but probably fairly nice guy who had somethings really crappy happen to them and they let themselves unload to the very extreme because at the moment you're more likely to get support and praise from the "good Ol boy" crowd for loosening your belt than you will get criticism from regular people

At the start of today I had this guy pegged as a KKK meeting member who has a white Klansman hood and robe hidden under his bed and white power tattoos in unseen places.

When I posted this I had downgraded him to a prejudiced dumb piece of crap who is spouting off the worse things he feels he can come up with and still get support from other prejudiced dumb pieces of crap publicly.

But I no longer hold him in the same air space as David Duke. Just a stupid down on his luck good ol boy who got robbed likely by a meth head looking to pawn his stuff for a quick fix and in his drunken rage of being violated is blaming his misfortune on blacks.

I HATE Mayo! I Hate it with every fiber of my being. I gag on it . Miracle whip is only slightly more tolerable but mustard or honey mustard is for more preferable than either of those.

It's more tolerable than mayo although I'm hardly a fan. I have indeed eaten it on 2-3 occasions at synagogue because it was offered by an elder who then continued to talk to me and wouldn't let me out of their sight without seeing me eat some of my after service meal because at Temple Beth Torah in Ventura we often had an after service meal catered by a couple who attended the temple who had a deli downtown near the beach.

I'm much more a fan of Bagels and Lox which we had often and I would very much enjoy. BTW my parents didn't take me to Temple Beth Torah I went with a friend and his family because my Mom was not interested in her Jewish background and my African-American father was raised as a Christian who had left the religion to pursue his own interest

I would say the openly anti-Semitic ranting in an attempt to personally hurt the officers on the scene and then after the fact going "sorry I was drunk" as opposed to "sorry for all the terrible **** I said about the Jewish people".

This is a pretty good example of using FB properly imo. So, in a vacuum, I can see how this could be narcissistic, but in context, almost not at all. There is an inherent amount of narcissism to posting almost anything on FB in the first place. On the other hand, many of these routine posts do add some (albeit small) net gain to FB as a whole. I don't think it's very reasonable to just expect 100% excellent FB posts all the time. Same with conversations, sure small talk kind of sucks (again imo) but some amount of it just smooths out actual conversation and enables the good stuff.

cletuses post is great, full of vitirol and hits lots of generic talking points, along with the kryptonite line which isn't bad

it's also pretty well written compared to the usual posts like that
