idiotic / narcissistic / annoying facebook statuses - Page 126 - Other Topics Forum - Discuss Pop Culture, Arts and Entertainment

How come no one abandons email when they get a few spam emails, or disavows PCs when they get a virus? But a few annoying FB statuses that they can easily block, or they read some scary privacy article, and they're gone.

hating the new newsfeed and ticker . theres no way for me to block ppl from seeing their every status and comment on the ticker which is very annoying .....

I have literally never ONCE complained about the myriad of changes Facebook has gone over since I joined forever ago. But this change is ****ing terrible. I always had to use the "recent posts" link because the Top News algorithm is dog**** and hides too much. Now I don't have a choice. WTG Facebook.

Just came here to mention the FB changes really suck in case nobody else has figured this out yet.

Right now under top stories, they have highlighted as a story they think I will find interesting: a friend updated her job history to include a place she stopped working at 6 years ago. Words cannot describe how ****ing intersted I am in that.

My theory is it's all part of their master plan to completely control your news feed so they can start splicing in ads. They know people will hate these changes, so why not keep allowing News Feed? There has to be some revenue angle imo.

Also if any of you haven't looked into FB Purity (the greasemonkey script) to hide all the unwanted friend requests, profile updates, etc. - you really should. It's pretty sweet.

I posted a couple status updates a few weeks ago where the girl was bragging about her boyfriend. I don't know for sure but I think that relationship is over.

So here is a status from last night:

I think it lasts for about an hour, btw, you can also change the language to Pirate which is kinda cool.
