Sorry but even doctors tell you not to quit smoking pot if you find out near the end of the first/begining of the second trimester that you are pregnant. Quiting aat that point is very stressful on the woman's body and the baby and the weed itself has very little effect on the baby. I sat in the doctors office and heard this straight from a doctor, and again by two other doctors when we went for a second and eventually a third opinion because we did not believe the first one. This was also 11 years ago so doctors opinions may be different now. These 3 doctors all worked for different OBGYN clinics as well so it wasn't just one clinic pushing this

Now obviously smoking weed when you find out very early that you are pregnant and not stopping is a different story

Even the internet tells you that pregnant women who smoke daily and/or through delivery, have a higher risk for complications in their pregnancy compared to women who quit in the first trimester.

I wasn't really singling yoga pot mom out except for her dubious claim that it "helped her baby to be calm." That's asinine and delusional. And yes, her pregnancy, baby, and life as a young mother must truly be perfect, since she said it on facebook, and as we all know, no one lies about their quality of life on facebook.

I was really speaking more to any time I hear a mother say that she smoked (cigs) or drank or did recreational drugs while pregnant but declares the baby unaffected. Just because a baby is born with no glaring defect doesn't mean there was zero effect on the baby. Even if you are a habitual pot smoker and don't find out until halfway through the pregnancy that you are with child, and the doctor tells you not to stop, that doesn't make it something to be prideful about.

Riverside, MO is the armpit of KC. KCK isn't far behind. Nothing connecting the two can ever be considered glamorous or iconic or worth preserving. Plus just a mile or so downriver, the Broadway bridge is still working and much more iconic.

Are you referring to me? I said "even doctors" and I was never banned. The doctors my wife I and I saw told her not to quit. She slowed downed significantly. We also know a couple people who where told the exact same thing by their doctoRs when it was into the second trimester when they found out they where pregnant. The citation is the doctors that told us. Believe me or dont, I know and my wife knows what we where told by 3 different respected OBGYNs here in Iowa. If you would have read My entire post you would know that already

I've heard this often but mostly in reference to people smoking 1 pack a day of cigarettes. Apparently the stress from quiting releases stress hormones which are bad for the baby. Just make sure you ****ing quit before getting pregnant imo, its not really an excuse anyway.
