Ithink their greatest achievement to date is the scientology protest they initiated around the world. I believe it started out as a reaction against the attempted censoring of that creepy Tom Cruise video, the one where he laughs hysterically, but it spawned a non-violent protest that was actually pretty inspiring to see. Certainly given the fact that scientology is a cult that agressively attacks anyone who openly disagrees, be it by legal or even violent actions.

Does anyone know if they have anything to do with taking down Sony's PSN a few days ago? I went to Anonymous's website and they said they're setting their sites on Sony.

Edit: It seems they say Anonymous didn't but here's an article about it: http://rpgamex.com/news/sony-playsta...-up-this-week/

I was just going to comment on this; guarantee they're involved. Some of the stuff they do is worthwhile, but I can't really respect any group that goes around doing most of the **** that they do just for kicks basically

Spoiler:
i mean that in the most respectful and humble way, anonymous

I commend Anonymous on everything that they've done and hope that they continue doing what they've been doing.

Things look like they're about to get very interesting, NATO have announced that they're targetting them and Anonymous replied yesterday. It's disgusting that NATO feel that the Governments and their activity is entitled to privacy as much as the individual citizens.

Almost everything that has been leaked so far just wreaks of incompetence and maliciousness, as opposed to any genuine state secret.

It was this other hacker group lulzsec according to that article above. These institutions that are being targeted have to be ****ting themselves at this point.

Apparently they are taking down NYSE on Oct. 10th.

These anonymous guys are interesting but they haven't made any big moves lately. They're also apparently infighting with concerns that the occupy wall street protest are FBI PsyOps maneuver to gather info on protestors or something.

Anyways, EXCITING IMPLICATIONS IMO.
