This movie is going down hard. Maybe a Boondock Saints like DVD run will save it, but yikes:

$691 per theater last week is very, very brutal

impossible. the coral snake is one of the deadliest snakes in existence and it being in her ass means it is in close proximity to your person, which means there is a better than 95% chance it strikes you, and if it does, you are dead

and even if for the sake of argument the coral snake was dead, i have heard from a friend who was dating someone who suffered from impotency that having a flacid penis inside of you is like being ****ed by jello. i cannot imagine a dead coral snake to be a much different sensation than that, and who wants that?

Sightless would prefer reading about someone raping a 13 year old girl then getting off free.

Bump for Tucker taking down his huge message board right as his movie bombs:

Too bad about the movie tanking. I thought the way he went about getting it made was really cool, guess the movie itself was just too ****ty to ultimately pull it off.

Man, I can only imagine how square the Tucker Max sports betting community must be.

Edit: Lol, it's dead, but it doesn't disappoint. Predicted a line move in your favor and then betting anyways has to be the squarest move ever.

This will wind up as a 4, although I'd go personal max at these odds if I could.

I petty much got over the Tucker Max thing 6 years ago or so, but I've followed that gambling board for awhile. You're pretty much completely wrong about them being squares, it was the only part of the board worth a ****. Talking about the line movement is their strange ritual of assuming everything will go wrong with a wager. I don't follow the sportsbetting in this forum so I have no idea if you have similar methods.

On topic: Read the book when it came out. Liked it 8/10 or so, don't really care if it's bull****. No desire to see the movie; the frat boy ******* schtick only goes so far before getting tired.

Used to think it was funny, I'm sure I'd still laugh if I re-read some of the stories, but they all seemed the exact same to me.

Kind of like reading tardblog, sure it's seemingly offensive and hilarious to read, but after a few stories its all kind of the same.

Didn't read book, won't see movie, but out of laziness more than disdain for TM

Haven't seen the movie or read the book. Don't really have any opinion on TM and and I have read in total one TM story. That being said it is pretty obvious the movie will suck. All movies in this genera suck. I was quite shocked that TM had somehow managed to land a movie deal given he is pretty much a nobody but I guess he is more famous than I realized. Good for him -- anytime someone makes what I assume is a half-decent amount of money out of nothing that is an accomplishment. Shame on anyone who would waste time and money going to watch it.

yeah but i mean that forum (not to mention his wiki page and whole online persona in general) has always been WILDLY policed/moderated. i've seen a ton of posts by new accounts re: the movie get nuked repeatedly, and i'm sure there is no shortage of willing fanboys to continue doing this ad nauseam. just very surprised that's all.

i did notice a lack of discussion ( zero discussion) about the movie tanking in the IHTSBIH The Movie board which i thought was odd. He just kept posting dates and times of where he was going to be and where the movie was going to be playing. He did mention in an interview that he was putting "all his eggs in one basket". I mean he pushed back his book "*******s Finish First" a year and took a good solid 2 or 3 years to write and then make the movie. He also predicted he would make a ton of "**** you" money which he fell way short of. Talented writer though.

The first number is weekend gross, and the total probably adds the weekday numbers.

Nah, I guarantee the forum shutdown was so he wouldn't have to constantly moderate the thing and erase all the **** talk from people when he has nothing to say back anymore. I'm sure that's what he meant but not having the time or energy to maintain the thing. He could make money from the board easily if he wanted to.

The content on the board is not disappearing forever. I intend to bring much of it back in other forms and on other places in the future, especially the advice board material. But in the immediate future I am going to focus exclusively on my next books(s). New sites, etc, come a little later.

Bump:

I never heard of this movie till yesterday when a friend loaned it to us.

I thought it was funny as hell TBH. I though it was actually better than the Hangover (which was highly over rated). Yeah it's all recycled jokes and I did think the characters were a little old in age to be getting all excited about a strip club, getting drunk and seeing who can do the most shots. It would have worked better of they were 21-23yrs old instead of 27-30yrs old.

I actually didn't blame Tucker for what happened to the main guys that was getting married. I think he actually brought it upon himself.

By far the best/funniest character what the bitter friend.

I did read about all the hate on Tucker Max (whatever he seems like your typical 4'ler TBH) but I'm not judging a movie over the writer whether or not he is trying to claim it was real or not. The movie was funny.
