There is a balance between milking it and being a douche. A more accepted way of milking it would be to do several things for $$$ each. Or simply wait as the crowd throws more money at you, as was happening. Someone offered you a week's pay for a stunt and you countered (after accepting) with a floor of two months pay. Obviously that is going to turn people off. Play it cool and don't be an idiot, and you can pay off your bills in no time.

It's funny reading this ****. When op listed all his debts I had to double check the name posting this. I owed 600 to amscot...2500 to a bookie...and my account was negative. It's eerie and sad how degens have such similar stories. I wised up and quit sportsbetting along with playing nl 2/5 cash tables. I take home about 1400 every 2 weeks. I saved my money and paid my bookie, paid my bank and now in the process of paying amscot and a bunch of other friends and it feels ****ing good. Will I start gambling again? Most likely...but it won't be with the same Passion and hope to make thousands...it will be purely for entertainment. It's been 4 months since I've quit...and quite honestly having money in my account beats losing it at the casino or to a bookie and go beg your friends and parents just so you can keep feeding your inner devil lol...just sharing my story.
