Please explain why this hoodie is worth $500 more than what I pay. Looks like a black zip-up hoodie to me.

A nice sweater lets people know you have money way better than some trashy, over priced hoodie.

Hoodie's are more for function than style anyway IMO.

Pretty much my opinion on 500$ clothing too. There's a big difference between buying nicer clothes that fit well and look good, and spending half a grand on a shirt just so 1 other person at the club will recognize it and know you spend tons of money on clothes.

It disturbs me that none of the guys on that site appear to be wearing shirts under their hoodie. That's not standard, right?

You are a moron. My comment was in response to all the talk about over priced sweatshirts. Reading comprehension FTW.

To recap for the dull among us.

If you are buying clothing for status (obv if you spend 500 on a hoodie) a $80 sweater says "i'm rich" a lot better than a $500 hoodie.

I think trash bag with Benjamins is the way to go too.

Just curious... What's too much to spend on a hoodie?

Yeah I love hoodies but feel like a moron if I spend more than $50 for one. Any good websites that have really cool hoodies? I really like that Wings and Horns one, but I went to the website and it just gave a bunch of locations.

christ, half you guys spend way too much for clothes. Granted, I'm prolly in the cheaper side in clothes, but spending anything >$100 for a single piece of clothing is way too much.

FWIW their regular mock-neck turtleneck things are incredibly comfortable too. I bought three and plan on buying several more. Amazingly soft and comfortable and they fit and stretch just right.

I will say that I don't like the half-zip fleece. Probably because it's a half-zip fleece aka hideous but it just doesn't wow me.

Their t-shirts are really really thin too which can be a good thing as well.

I guess now anything more than $60 but it used to be anything more than $50. I'll spend $400 on dress shoes before I spend $100 on a god damn hoodie.

It's all relative.

I received, as a present, a $250 black cashmere hoodie two years ago. It's lightweight, very warm, and comfy as hell. Not girlie-looking at all. I get compliments on it all the time. Women esp. want to touch it when they ask where I got it and I tell them it's made of cashmere. Yea I gotta dry-clean it but I like to take care of my clothing. I dry-clean most of my denim jeans as well.

I don't really care for name brand stuff while textile quality, design, and fit are the most important for me.

If it's for you, a $10 hoodie from a sporting goods store is just as functional as any.
