I guess every year in OOT there's a few Halloween costume threads, so I'll start this one a few weeks in advance of my favorite holiday of the year.

What I need is some help in crafting my costume. One of the things I really suck at is jury-rigging stuff like this so it looks okay and stays together. For my costume, I'm stealing the idea from this picture -- the dude on the left:

...and I need to find a doll for the boy. I have a black shirt and pants I can use for the priest outfit, but I really have no clue where to find a stuffed kid. I also don't want something that big; I'd prefer maybe only a foot long doll, so I can walk around the party more freely, but you'd still get the joke that there's a boy around my waist with his face against my crotch.

So basically, a) where can I get a small stuffed-animal size/weight boy doll, and b) how would I go about fastening it to my pants/belt so I would be most comfortable during an active party?

Thanks in advance, and of course feel free to use this thread for your own Halloween costume questions, ideas, and comments.

why go through all the trouble if rigging something up....just get a real 5 year old to hang onto you all night like that.

I dont think you need a doll, since it doesnt look like anypartof the "Body" is exposed". just get some kids clothes, and then just stuff the clothes with filling so it looks like a body is inside it. You can use cardboard to make sort of a mold so to speak so it doesnt look lumpy in the torso.

attaching should be pretty easily done with safety pins

Wow. I have no idea how to help you, but that costume is so wrong I just had to comment.

Personally, I'm dressing like Lara Croft, only pregnant and with a baby carrier and some "ethnic" baby dolls strapped to my back, along with the guns strapped to my legs, and going as Womb Raider.

Now that I think about it, since we're both using dolls, I'll keep you posted if I find anything suitable.

This sounds like a lot more work than just buying a doll.

But what if I want it to be more flexible, like if I have to take a leak? I was thinking of putting it on my belt somehow, so it can swivel. I don't think safety pins would work on a belt, would they?

See, I am ******ed. I will not be on Project Runway any time soon.

hmmm, you could always go with velcro then. like safety pin one hand to your hip, and use velcro for the head and other arm, so that when you gotta piss, you can peel if off to the side sorta. Or just go velcro all around

or if you are just going to be at house parties you can still use safety pins, and just drop your pants around your ankles when you gotta take a leak, since youll be alone in the bathroom

PJ,

Just go to Toys R Us or whatever, bound to have something for cheap, maybe pick up a kids size hat to make it look less dollish or something.

A costume for the lazier of us, who have to attend costume required parties.

1 White kitchen size (or larger depending on your size) garbage bag

Put head and arms through the garbage bag.

You're a dick in a broken condom, when it gets uncomfortable, take it off, you're just a dick.

lololll, I just read this thread today and its like being a kid learning a new word. I'm seeing it referenced everywhere (text, pictures).

BTW OP, If you know someone who can sew you could make this costume pretty easily and just stuff it with pillow stuffing or newspaper or something. Seriously this would not be hard at all.

As for big dolls, try googling "my size barbie." Cue the my size barbie pr0n photoshops.
