Who would win? Some people surprise me by voting BEAR

I vote gorilla, and its not even close. The gorilla is so much more powerful and also maneuverable. Chimpanzees are around 7 times stronger than a human. Gorillas are going to have an even higher strength/body mass index, and also weigh much more. Their strength is way underrepped by most people imo. Oh yeah, they are smarter too.

Given how infrequently food posts on this forum, I assume most haven't- because a bear will ****ing EAT YOU.

I honestly have no idea how to answer this, but I would sure lean towards bear.

Actually it does. You can't appreciate just how MASSIVE these killing machines are until you've seen them in person. Seeing video of each animal doesn't do much to show scale unless you could see them side by side.

They are one of the most awesome (in the traditional sense of the word) animals on the planet, and deserve much respect.

I think a lot of people are mistaking the real advantage of muscle mass density. Something the gorilla crushes bear in. "ohhhhh omg bear weighs so much more" argument seems silly. A strong 300 pound MMA fighter would get his ass kicked by a 120 pound chimpanzee.

If it were to be a black bear I have no doubt in my mind because they're the best kind of bears there is. No idea what a grizzly bear is capable of but he's definitely inferior to a black one.

Lol, i read the same article just now.

I'm just referring to strength capabilities btw. In an attempt to disprove this "he weighs more, he will win" style of thought. Weights of different species mean different things. While it is much more important when the same species are being considered.
