You win $1,000 for solving a puzzle if you have less than that. Considering that almost every spot on the wheel is worth less than $1,000 and there was only one more letter to guess, she was an idiot for taking that risk. But it is possible she didn't know pet peeve. It's not the most common phrase in the world and "peeve" isn't exactly an everyday word.

I solved foodcourt easily bit WTF is Adopt A Pet Peeve. That has to be the answer right? It's the only thing that fits but it makes zero sense.

edit: adopt a pet/pet peeve. So this is a category where there are two separate solutions in the same puzzle? Jesus, I don't think I've seen an episode of WoF in 15 years. Is it still Sajak and Vanna?

The OP didn't give the category, which was almost certainly "Before & After". In this category, the answer is a mash-up of two phrases. In the case "Adopt a pet" and "pet peeve".

Seems pretty relevant, especially since this one appears to be a before & after.

You have to:

avoid bankrupt for the remainder to the game

Wait, bankrupt doesn't affect prizes from the previous puzzles, only the current puzzle- is there a special rule for the 1M wedge?

But I will laugh since it's pretty funny. I'm def the black sheep of my family so you got that part correct but I'm not a meth-head.

It may have been a before and after puzzle. I don't watch the show enough to really know how the puzzle are laid out though. But I def understand it if it was a phrase.

I'm sure thats a sick burn, but can't get it sry.

BTW I got the Adopt a Pet Peeve but not the 2nd one. For people that don't watch Wheel often (me), people might not get the before and after category, so the answer seems like gibberish.

You have to:

land on the skinny million wedge
correctly guess a letter
avoid bankrupt for the rest of the round
Solve that puzzle
avoid bankrupt for the remainder to the game
qualify for the bonus round
spin the million on the little wheel
solve the bonus round puzzle.

It's pretty unlikely.
The wide shot of Vanna's reaction is pretty tight.
Unless, Matt, you're arguing that she should have solved the puzzle for $0, kept the wedge and hoped she made it to the final puzzle for a 1/20 chance of drawing the prize? I can agree with you there.
Yea, that's what I'm saying. It was the 1st or 2nd puzzle of the game. I forget how much money she had but it was 2 or 3 grand, it wasn't $0. Obviously if it's the last puzzle and she's behind, she needs to risk it.

My viewpoint of WoF is that you should solve the first 2 puzzles as quickly as possible because they are short puzzles, no good prizes and the $5,000 spin isn't available. You also set the bar if you have $2-3k making the other contestants aware of that.

A quick search of "Food Court England" on google indicates that [Phill] appears to be very wrong and confused about this issue.

They do a thing where they take two different phrases and combine them. I think they call it Before and After. So you actually have to think on your feet just a little bit (meaning use about 5 neurons instead of 2).

"Adopt a pet" is a phrase. "Pet peeve" is also a phrase. They combined the two of them. Get it?!?!

Other examples would be something like "What's up dude ranch" or "Eggs Benedict Arnold"
