And to OP, if your buddy is going to use that essay it damn well better end with him winning the race by a penis length or else the story is lame imo.

This way he can bring his shot at those schools from 5-10% or so riiight down to 0. Nice.

This.
Pretty sure any story that involved flashing a high school chick to win a race, when applying in a position that tries really hard to have hard ethical guidelines is a fail.

If he wants to be funny or different, have him do it in a smart way. This creepy frat boy mystique of letting his dong dangle isn't gonna pull much weight with anyone above the age of 21.

I trust that, when written, this essay is going to be published by the OP as part of this thread.

That is not a story about perseverance. It is a story about showing your dick to people. I haven't been to law school; would that impress the admissions folks?

This thread is likely some lame attempt at a level.

If not, I hope your friend writes this essay and gets denied from all law schools. There are enough smart lawyers with no common sense out there.

If it does, I have a solid strategy for the interview.

Seriously, what is there to debate here? This is flat out idiotic and can only hurt his chances, but if he wants to fail after you told him it was a bad idea thats his problem.

This essay is a great idea. Law School is one of the worst experiences in the world and he should do as much as possible to avoid it.

this.

op's friend must be really immature and douchey to think this essay will improve his odds at all.

if you wanna talk about perseverance and impress, then your story should be about how your parents died when you were 8 and you had to work since you were 12 and still managed to do well in school.

i could see the members of admission committee reading this then looking at each other, and all of them saying "what a ******, why can't he pull up his pants" then smircking and throwing this in the reject pile.

Well, now your friend is only kind of as dumb as he was before and it's nice that he was able to learn something from this thread. However, if this is real and he actually needed this thread to learn how bad this idea is then I don't care what his other numbers are...he's an idiot.

I mean, this guy is 21 or so, right? 3.5gpa is his undergrad college stat I assume because most 18 year old high school seniors aren't taking the LSAT's and applying to law school yet.

This is a great idea because it means one less lawyer in the world.

On the bright side, business school is much easier and there can never be too many douchebags with MBAs.

3.5/176 is not a longshot at harvard, probably almost a coinflip with good extracurriculars and recs. yale and stanford are probably longshots though.

Not very close to a coinflip at Harvard without a really nice looking resume. These schools barely look at kids with a GPA below a 3.6 or so.
