this one is a sequel to the hangover, where they tried to find their friend doug even though, and this is the catch, they had no recollection of the previous night.

Really really enjoyed the first one. On a level that really has nothing to do with the movie, it just bugs me that this is happening, because it would be kinda awesome if they'd make movies with new ideas- but there's pretty much no way I'm not going to enjoy this.

I can't believe the amount of people getting upset that this sequel isn't taking the Hangover franchise in a bold new direction. Did you watch the first movie? was the plot that important? All you need is a formulaic conduit for gags. I for one am happy that they aren't trying to do anything creative with this movie and hope they just focused on really good comedic writing.

Hopefully Galifianakis saves this one like he did the last one

as long as the actors can keep their characters fresh yet still have the same type of delivery i dont see how i cant enjoy this

Agreed. This two-minute trailer was almost completely lacking in character development and emotional depth.

Pretty much agree with everyone. Movie looks like a xerox of the first one (same thing only slightly less quality). Asian guy isn't funny at all. I'll still go see it and enjoy it.

Hollywood wins this round.

I thought the original was one of the best comedies of the last 5 years.
This sequel is going to make tons of money, but be nowhere as funny.

Glad the spirit of Mike Tyson will live on in part 2.

It's ridiculous that Zach Galifianakis is already typecast as a dude who needs a prop (baby/dog/monkey) to be funny.

I sure hope they let Galifianakis do his thing. He really made the first movie great. Even if it's just a carbon copy set in Thighland I imagine I will still enjoy this.

You just named three movies by the same director as if it has anything to do with what others use him for. He was great in Its Kind of a Funny Story for example.

Anyway, its pretty hilarious how people are watching a 2 minute trailer and instantly knowing there is going to be no character development and the jokes will be terrible. This forum really is the worst some times.

Even though it's seems to be virtually a replica of the first movie, I'm sure it will still be funny. A lot of new jokes could be fresh, and WB just chose to market the flick the same as the 1st, since it did so well.

The cast seems to mesh well together, I think that's part of the reason the first movie played so well.

And Zach is pretty funny in Bored to Death as well, and he has no props. Just good comic timing/character acting or whatever.

I would have just prefered if they would name this move to "dude where's my car 2: Thailand edition". It would both save tarnishing the Hangover franchise and provide Ashton some much needed work.

Trailer looks legit terrible, but I thought this forum massively overrated the first one so ymmv. Kinda astonishing they're doing the exact same thing.

Watching again and reading all these comments just gets me more pissed off. The crowd that will like this totally overlaps with the Entourage deadenders who are obsessed with this notion of good comedy being the equivalent of something you "turn off your brain" to enjoy. Dids could have written The Hangover; there just really aren't that many good jokes. It's mostly just people screaming and being loud, and since it starts with a decent premise and likable actors, it works alright. But people talk about it like it's the pinnacle of recent comedy. It's not even as good as Role Models. FSM/Pineapple Express blow it out of the water. Nobody talks about Due Date but ****, even that was probably just as good.

Who the hell is getting major pumped from this trailer? Identify a single joke please. OMG I LOVE GALIFINAKIS' SPEECH HAHA. What? Why? Jesus you guys are pieces of life****.
