He ended up saying he felt like going long, and went for another 20 minutes with a Gorilla assassination bit that was possibly better than any of his planned material. So good. Assuming his next special is on this level, it'll firmly plant him in the list of GOATs (already there, in my opinion).
Caught the tail end of Joe Deroza's act just before bill, and he was pretty good as well. He had a great R. Kelly/Michael Jackson bit that was brutal. Paraphrasing, but it went something like "Michael got hated on because his last few albums sucked. If Michael's last album was as good as Thriller, he could have come out on stage with a kid on each finger and nobody would give a ****."
When Burr dropped into the Comic Strip in March he worked on the Kanye and Gorilla bits. They were good back then, so I'm sure they're killers now.
Here's my report on that night.

I loved this special. The cow bit was my favorite part - perfectly written.

Anybody recommend a good offensive comic that isn't Chappelle, Jefferies, Burr, or Jeselnik?
Sam Morril, who opened for me at Caroline's (
), is fairly offensive. Check out his Comedy Central half hour that just aired a few weeks ago. Here's the offensive joke he closes with, for example:
