You don't understand the thermic effect of food or the sating effect of protein. High protein consumption (IE much higher than RDA) has numerous dietary benefits wrt body composition. So while "A calorie is a calorie" is true in a sense... It is most certainly not true when you actually consume them and account for what your body does with them.
But you almost certainly knew that.
wtf does eating better mean. Freezing your meat lowers the quality of it. Buying non-fresh seafood/meat EVEN IF THEY WERE THE EXACT SAME CUTS are lower quality inherently.
If you want to argue some pointless, I eat better because I'm a chef. Okay great. You eat lower quality food if you're eating frozen meat. Its not a debatable topic. Sure you can try to argue the merits of frozen meat. In which case virtually everything you'd argue would apply to eating dogfood, or freeganism.
NB: There are laws regarding frozen meat. I'm sure these were created because frozen meat is of the same quality as fresh.
