We're on a poker forum, not whispering in the victims' ears.

And if you're trying to guess my politics or position on gun control it sounds like you'd be completely wrong.

Oh, you morphed into a troll. Don't want to defend your position that there's an obvious solution to preventing these types of shootings?

Things that are intensely unsurprising:

auralex is a PU poster.

Clothes dryer question:

Suppose you have one wet item and time is of the essence. Is it faster do dry the item alone in the machine or with a dry towel to help wick moisture away from the wet item?
12-02-2015 , 08:37 PM
Put it in the dryer alone.

Source: I worked at a laundromat.

What about 3 minutes with dry towel to xfer wetness, then alone? Or with another dry towel and repeat until dry?

Watching coverage all afternoon I think it was pretty cool of the SB sheriff/police dept to be as forthcoming with information as they have been during this entire event. They've been coming forward with stuff even as the event was ongoing, pretty cool. Usually there's like a 6 hour media fog of war situation where everyone's reporting conflicting stuff until the official press release comes out.

I would just do it alone. If it's super wet, use a dry towel beforehand to get some of the water out before it goes in the dryer.

I sometimes dry my clothes with a hairblower or two (depending on wetness of said item).
12-03-2015 , 03:58 AM
You stand there blasting away with both hands instead of using the dryer?

Having never done this myself- I fully endorse this. I've ruined many shirts using automatic dryers, and hang up most things now.

Owning more than one hair dryer is suspicious though.

As a man with neither a hair dryer nor a clothes dryer, I've been known to iron things dry. e.g. underwear when I forget to hang it up to dry the day before and don't have anything clean.

Any recommendations on a handgun?
You definitely need an assault rifle to stop these kind of people. I'd recommend the M4 carbine.
