Update at 2:57 p.m. ET: A police scanner reports that a building has collapsed and people are trapped in Arlington, which is located between Dallas and Fort Worth, according to AccuWeather.
I am in Arlington and luckily escaped any issues so far. One tornado touched down about 5 miles west of me and did a lot of damage to roofs, trees, etc.
What the hell is happening in those videos? Who took video of their cellphone playing a video? Surely you can just plug them in to a computer and copy them across - one's an iphone for ****'s sake. What's the deal there?
I gotta say, those warning sirens are not a nice way to be woken from a nap on the back porch...
Lots of tornado warnings in my area but nothing exciting actually happened. It didn't even rain hard for more than 15 minutes. All the areas around me got hammered with rain/hail though.
The clip of the Arlington tornado tossing semi trucks 100s of feet up in the air is pretty sick, has it made its way to youtube yet?
The high winds scattered my backyard patio furniture...I think I actually prefer having the table on the other side of the pool and the chairs pushed against the fence
The tornado in Forney hit near my daughter's school but she is fine, and then it made its way close to my home in Royse City and then flew right over my school (A&M Commerce) I spent most of the afternoon in lockdown in the library. There are reports of at least 12 tornadoes touching down in the area today.
