According to Wikipedia the new season of CYE will air on Sunday, September 9th at 9pm on HBO.

Fun fact -- I just watched the episode in which Larry buys weed for his Dad and the drug dealer is Hurley from Lost.

Can't wait for more LD. Do we know how many eps this season will last? I assume it's ten again, but I haven't heard anything for sure.

I'm crossing my fingers that this season won't suck. Like Sopranos - which I swear said they were calling it quits after season three or four but then churned out a couple more - I thought CYE planned to hang it up years ago. I thought the first three seasons were awesome but after that maybe I expected too much or became too critical because it didn't quite do it for me. Will probably still watch though.

I thought 4 and 5 were probably the best two seasons (though you could really make an argument for any of the five). Still, the great thing about Curb is that there is no running plot; with no storyline to worry about, they have a bit more freedom in churning out a sixth season since they can do whatever they want, and that makes me think that the show could be excellent no matter how long it runs.

pfff, hahaha. while not as good as seasons 1-4, i still laughed a ton and it was better than pretty much anything else on tv. in other words, it was subpar for cye, but not really subpar.

right, but i have no doubt larry david could continue to make cye/seinfeld for 15-20 years and they would still be better than pretty much anything else on tv. however there comes a point where you're basically just tarring the earlier seasons.

i thought a couple of eps in s5 were really really good. i loved the smoking jacket, especially where hef is in the bathroom and larry is leading an increasingly bizarre conversaton with the two girls. that was a wonderful scene. sadly there were a few episodes i barely cracked a smile at.

I agree with that for the most part, it did seem like some of the episodes were just too over the top. With that said, it was still great television and I don't think they were much worse if any from the previous seasons.
