Also, there are some MSers that have hundreds of authorized users on their amex cards, so any time there's a deal where they can make money, they hit them hard.
ok, thanks.

congrats JL, have fun

Yeah, I need 2 cards, not going to MS it all. But between Chase saying they're tightening up on bonus whores and getting rejected last year for a combination of not having a legitimate business and having too much exposure with Chase already I'm wondering how to do that. I could cancel a lot of my Chase cards. I only use the Freedom now. But I'm not sure if that would help, possibly even hurt.

I would look and see if the 18 month language is in the terms and conditions that you received. Most likely it is and you would not receive the bonus.

This just worked for me using $1 in points. Free $15 on Amazon.

Definitely a good deal. I was able to get one of my UR cards to work for a free $15. Couldn't get the other two to work. Some people are saying it's targeted. It might also be limited to one per account. I'll keep trying though!

new AMEX $15 off $60 at Amazon. Got on 4 of my 6 cards, i think i messed up the multiple tab trick on my wife's amex account so only was able to add it to one card. Almost didn't do it, I have too much money on Amazon =\. Any way to MS on Amazon?

It would take some time, but you could resell gift cards to other merchants or there might be some other goods that you could resell.

Yeah actually my best bet might be to try to snag some good black friday sales on Amazon and flip them

Warning on the new chase offers, they just changed their TOS again and now u cant even exchange UR points with frequent flier programs unless the name on the FF account is your own name or is an AU on your chase card. basically 100% eliminates the ability to sell UR points, now they are only worth a penny each to me for the most part since i never travel. Luckily I was able to sell a majority of my points a couple weeks ago

Just sell it for $54 in the marketplace or something. Email 2p2 CFalls, he was looking to buy some amazon GC at 5% off anyway.

Picked up four $60 Amazon gift cards with the Amex offer. Thanks! That's a quick $120 towards the $1000 spend for the BCE $250 bonus. I saw a $10 off $20 on Uber also, but I rarely have an uber trip that costs more than $10 or so.

Anybody familiar with Marriott rewards? I'm projected to be at 72-73 nights through the end of the year (75 is platinum)

Any pro tips on getting an extra night or two cheap?

Will be interesting to see what happens to Starpoints now that Marriott owns them. I'm assuming it means they will be worth a little less and work more places. Really hope nothing happens to the airline bonus transfer at 20k though.

Keep in mind that Chase Freedom just announced that they're doing 10% back on Amazon during Q4, as is Discover. There will potentially be a lot of MSers buying gift cards to sell, or trying to flip deals. Personally that gives me $4500 in 10% off at Amazon, in addition to the amex offers, so I will be looking for the best way to make $$ off of them. This could potentially flood some reselling markets.

If you don't already have the Marriott credit card, you get 1 Elite credit for every $3,000 spent on purchases. You could MS $6k, which would cost ~$72, if you have a decent place to buy from. Cheaper than actually staying (assuming you can MS)

The cheapest nights are usually like $75 if you can find a good deal.

If you travel through work, maybe try and find a way to extend a trip by a day or two?

I don't buy them to resell. The Amex offer puts my Amazon gift card balance up to almost $500, with 20-25% of that free money. I'm planning to buy a 70" TV a year from now and I'll use it all then. I spend a lot on Amazon as it is.

Got an email this morning from Chase freedom, they're increasing cash back this quarter from 5%-10% starting Monday through the rest of the year.
