Good news for my immunocompromised friend; she's able to taper off her meds long enough to take the J&J and has started that process so she'll be vaxxed in a few weeks. She's ecstatic. Her doctor found a study from earlier this year that determined that the mRNAs wouldn't take because the meds were preventing the mRNA from doing its work but the combo of reducing the dose of the meds along with J&J seems to do the trick and not make her violently ill in the process. At least that's what she explained to me.

My anti-vaxxer friend remains unvaxxed but did have COVID last November (diagnosed) so he's happy. He's not vocal at all about his beliefs except to say he had to get an exemption from work to not get it as they require it. He's antivax for all vaccines so this isn't new for him since he has to deal with it yearly for the required flu shot.

Yea, Ive been looking at Florida on World o Meters and the death graph makes absolutely no sense in relation to the case graph, and as the video states their is a massive spike then a huge drop off.

I remember reading the two dead teachers things and saying ‘wow’

The first teacher died 6 days after school started. School Covid did not kill him so it’s completely irrelevant that he was a teacher when he died of Covid he caught on vacation. It’s relevant for trauma for students.

The second teacher died 11 days after class started. Close. One unvaccinated teacher catching Covid in the classroom and dying is not news.

Here's what I wrote on a friend's timeline in response to someone who was going on about how the vaccine was a personal choice:

So yeah, I did get double vaxxed, but I didn't do it necessarily because I was concerned about ME and the risk of getting covid (although that's a nice benefit), I got the shots because that's WHAT ENDS THE PANDEMIC. It was way less about my own personal safety and way more about doing my 1/4,000,000 part in getting our area through this. And unless and until we can get 80-85% of the population vaxxed we're going to keep seeing more of the bullshit we've had to put up with throughout the year.

That's one of the reasons I don't have much time for people who say things like 'even vaxxed you can still get covid' or 'you can still spread it' or whatever. Because that's not what it's about. The push for vaccines aren't about protecting individuals, they're about protecting ALL of us. And not necessarily even for protecting us from covid, but rather for protecting us from the effects of OTHERS getting covid. Masks, lockdowns, restrictions, etc etc.

And I say it all with respect of course. But the simple reality is that getting a covid vax isn't about you, it's about your family, your community, and your country. And that's why you should get it. Because it's your very small part of building a long road that gets us back to normalcy again.

Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Overall this video isn’t great.

However the guy 30 seconds in who “wants to talk about the real pandemic” is a star. What a tremendous 9 seconds. I don’t even want to see his whole speech. No way it’s as good as this clip.
