Meh I was bluffing I guess, seems too hacky to actually post it. My test was positive. Symptoms have already cleared up. Shrug. Obviously now strictly quarantining for a bit. I wasn't actually meaning for my mention of a test to be anything but a passing comment in my post about what I saw at the nearby pop-up vaccine/testing site.

Fever/chills, unusual fatigue, felt slightly shorter of breath than usual. Two days of that. I do have the mildest of sore throats right now I guess, so not 100% asymptomatic but also just generally feeling fine.

Got tested because I was scheduled to be in the office on Wednesday/Thursday. Instead let my employer know I was having COVID symptoms and should probably stay home. Employer doesn't require a test in that spot, but I've always just voluntarily done it when citing COVID symptoms as a reason to stay remote.

In the absence of a test I definitely would have returned to the office next week while still being contagious, so this prevented that (along with going anywhere else really).

LKJ you're probably close to being Covid bulletproof at this time. Vaxxed plus disease should be a pretty solid defense. Time for a Disney cruise! lol

How much did the test cost? I for one am done paying $160 for a test.

Home antigen tests are about $25. (If you are willing to deal with the accuracy issues)

Yes my understanding as well. I’ve been tested several times but for travel reasons. My insurance claims they only cover if you think you’ve been exposed to someone with COVID, not for reasons such as travel requirements. I did through my insurance the first time as I played golf with an old boss that caught covid but the paperwork was such a hassle and now you can get it at Walgreens for under $50.

My company is going to require you provide your vaccine status in our safety site. There’s an article on it, on the main company internal webpage.

It’s an international company only Americans are objecting and yes i think it’s mostly political reasons. I mean being a dumbass and those types of political views to together so could be both.

Where are you getting your tests? I've never been charged for the dozen visits I've made to the drive-up site. Don't have to get out of your car, whole thing takes about 10 minutes.

Mostly techs, operators. A few engineers but the type with under graduate degrees only from schools you’ve never heard of. No MIT doctorates doing research in there.
