Got Pfizer #2 about 8 hours ago. No side effects yet. I even had sex today!

Now there's an idea to increase vaccination rates!

I got Pfizer #2 on Monday. Tuesday I felt worse than my worst Covid day. Got a ton of sleep and today I just had a light headache that Advil took care of.

For the 1st shot I was getting injected 5 mins after walking in the door. 2nd shot I was in line over an hour. Apparently they doubled the number of appointments for NH school vacation week but didn't add any extra staff. Typical govt.

Supposedly in AZ they are no longer taking appointments. Just show up and get your shot.

I've been checking appointments in CA since they opened the myturn.gov site. In the last week it's opened wide up - with appointments available all over the place.

We've reached the inflection point where supply is beating demand. Now time for sweetening the pot for the hesitant with stuff like WV giving a $100 credit. And then once you get all those people, start twisting arms of the remaining.

Detroit offering $50 to drivers who bring people to get vaxxed. Apparently you can get up to 3 per trip with no cap on the number of trips. Could be quite the moneymaker if you've got access to the right population.

I thought a vaccine is being issued everywhere now in USA#1, walk to a ****ing CVS that is 1 mile away. What happened with the plan to ship it to Dollar General stores so po folk in rural areas could get it easily?

Had the 2nd dose of Moderna yesterday at 8 am. At 8 pm, it hit me like a train. Fever, chills, headache. Woke up this morning feeling completely normal.

Felt bad for the nurses from multiple area hospitals running up and down the block earlier today, asking every rando walking by if they wanted to get the vaccine on the spot. I know of one here that opened vaccines up to family and FRIENDS of staff for tomorrow and next week. I know it's Pfizer and Moderna ones too, so it's not like they can easily transport them to other areas in need of vaccines due to storage requirements.

guy at the casino was wearing his mask under his nose. 3 different dealers told him 5 times total to put it over his nose. i told him too. i finally called the floor on him. there was no floor around, so a chip runner came over. chip runners have a lot of authority, but not like floor. anyway, dealer explains the situation. chip runner sees the guy has his mask on over his nose cuz he put it on when we called floor on him. chip runner says "it's done" very dismissively and walks away. pretty sure he was a maga anti masker.

i said "what's done? you didn't do anything" but he was already gone. i asked the dealer to call a floorman over, but he didn't. it's really hard for people to hear anyone, and there were no floormen around. so i just let it go. the guy did keep his mask on right after that

If you and another person are both vaccinated, I don’t know why you would care about them wearing a mask or not.

And if he isn’t vaccinated, he deserved to be harassed much more for that than for wearing a mask incorrectly.

I really wish some casinos were able to open only to vaccinated customers and ditch the masks. A few restaurants around me have opened for indoor dining but only allowing vaccinated people to enter.

If you are vaccinated yourself why would you care if the other guy is vaccinated or masked?

I'm just confused why go there and expect people to be all masked up. Like if I go to a party rn I won't be complaining people aren't wearing their masks. I just won't go

This reminds me of the "third person" vs "first person" political demands idea - that demands presented in the third person can sound reasonable even if they would sound unreasonable in the first person.

"We need to mask up to protect people who are not vaccinated" sounds reasonable.

"I don't want to get vaccinated so wear a mask to protect me" doesn't.
