It's official: When everyone who wants to be vaccinated has been, I am pretty much done wearing masks.



I will adhere to any establishments rules/regs that they have to follow in order to be open and will chosse accordingly, but the head of the CDC just said this so I have an end of masking in sight, personally.

Also, if you choose to not get a vaccine, you are now an anti-vaxxer. You may or may not have been already, but make no mistake: If you refuse to get a vaccine you are now na lol-anti-vaxxer and you can gfy.

So are you waiting until kids get vaccinated? Because that is probably end of 2022.

<16 has no bearing on me. Where will they draw the line? 3 years old? 7 years old? I'm not seeing myself waiting for them to figure that out in 2022.

Just speaking personally, because you can't differentiate who has and hasn't been vaccinated. So I am just going to keep doing my part to protect my fellow man.

Then when the daily vaccination numbers stop, I'm only wearing a mask where I absolutely have to. The only unprotected people will be anti-vaxxers.

Sadly, I think a lot of places are going to keep using masks. I hope servers don't get stuck wearing them for years. They really shouldn't. For example, NZ is currently 100% open. We are just WAY dumber.

Fully agree that mask usage shouldn't be compulsory, but I'm actually gonna keep wearing them post-pandemic, maybe it's just me but I don't find them bothersome. Playing poker, going to the grocery store, something similar? Yeah sure mask me, I like the idea of reducing my risk of residual COVID/flu/cold.

I still wear one in public because I vividly remember how uncomfortable I felt being around people who weren't wearing masks or weren't wearing them properly when I was unvaccinated. I don't want to contribute to that feeling in people who haven't had the opportunity yet to get the shots. I'm with 27 though, once everyone who wants one has had one, I'm probably done with masks.

I think I’m going to roll with wearing a mask permanently. An anti anti-mask protest. Plus, a larger number of us have become deceptively better looking.

I have no problem wearing a mask for a few minutes in a store. But having to wear one for hours when flying sucks. I get claustrophobic.

I for one am thoroughly tired of having to pay 100% attention to every single word someone speaks in the most basic conversation because I can't see their mouth as well as the muffling. That has no bearing on safety, and I still 100% follow safety precautions, but I am just sooo tired of it.

Speaking to suzzer's comment, if I can currently sit down in a restaurant completely unmasked for 90 minutes(not like I would yet), then I should also be able to do almost anything else for any amount of time less than that:

-library
-subway
-bus
-office
-store
-job site
-bank
-golf course/clubhouse
-indoor sports facility for youth sports etc

The only real exception I can think of would be movie theaters. I could also subscribe to that being maskless, but wouldn't really care wearing a mask, but also how do you eat your treats?

The one change I can see going 100% is everyone wearing a mask in hospitals and medical offices. We should be doing that anyway imo. The cross-section of people that are in those places is littered with dregs and patients should be protected. Again, imo.

This probably applies to my 'cross-section of humanity' comment above as well. I'll avoid public trans if at all possible, but would be fine wearing a mask, if for nothing else just to hide behind it and MMOFB.

This is one possibility. Other distractions might be others. Short-term cognitive behavior therapy is another. Anti-anxiety meds is another (but not one I would choose).

Nobody enjoys wearing a mask, but blaming a mask for other issues is not very productive.

Masks should never become a way of like for the rest of time, I'm sorry, no. A mask should not become a new mandatory apparel like a shirt or pants. F that S, and that has nothing to do with muh freedoms.

The other big problem(for me anyway) is there will ALWAYS be clowns spewing about muh freedoms in the future, so screw dealing with that on every flight, bus, train etc. Wear one if you want, but this can't go on like this forever.
