With Dr. Fauci saying today that he wouldn't be surprised if we get to 100,000 infections per day, I have a prediction: By 2022, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, alcoholism, and general stupidity will no longer exist. Total bummer for me.

For my next prediction, I am going to cover USA#9 schools this coming fall:

-All schools will open in some capacity. Be it grade school, high school, or undergrad college.

-All schools will deal with almost immediate infection clusters, which will need to be tracked and traced to have any shot whatsoever of not-reclosing.

-There will be no tracking and/or tracing.

-All schools will close. All fall sports will also be canceled. Across the board.

-As 100k new infections and 2k deaths a day become the norm, panic will set in.

The End. Literally.

new prediction. as corona spreads in usa much much much worse than it spreads in europe, and trump leads the charge mishandling the response, it will be impossible for him to win re-election, no matter how awful the democratic candidate is.

i don't think there will be too many more american ny cities, if any at all, but we will have hundreds of cities that will have horrific death, disease, and financial devastation. it will be so wide spread, we will be wishing we just had april's death numbers and financial problems.

My point was, distinguishing which business closes isn't the issue right now. This is a hypothetical that doesn't matter because we've proven we're incapable of any kind of shutdown.

Groceries with a head count all day. Same with pharmacies and perhaps drive through only if they have it. Banks. Feel like I'm forgetting something?

Restaurants are tough for me. I worked carryout during the shutdown period and sometimes I'd still have 3-4 people standing near each other without masks. So, I understand we cant control everything but theres certainly risk there. No fuvking away should dine in and bars be open in states blowing up right now or probably any.

Utility workers, public works (garbage, sewer, water), farmers, truckers, meat processors, telecommunications, news, government, internet providers, health care, emergency services, delivery drivers...the list is truly endless.

It isn't feasible in this day and age. 100 years ago sure, but we no longer have the skills or tools to be self sufficient.

Grocery stores only. 1 visit per week per household. All store employees get tested daily, and hazard pay, on a voluntary basis.

I don't think Target or Walmart should have been open(or the like). Just full on grocery stores. The more I think about it, they should have shut all fast food as well. Then maybe **** would have been taken seriously.

FWIW fast food was never shut down in Australia, but was shut down in New Zealand, so while its proably a borderline issue, it probably isn't the huge swing either way.

The NZ list I believe was

- Grocery stores
- Pharmacies
- Gas stations
- Medical clinics

Which is probably the bare minimum and you can add a couple extra as dealers choice based on personal needs. For example if takeaway alcohol isn't sold at grocery stores (such as Australia) you probably have to add that to save having to deal with people having withdrawals.
