Yeah deffo need blog-like updates from those of us too far away to visit!
I'll do that for sure, I have a lot of things working currently that if they go the way I want will be a lot of fun to partake in and show everyone here.
LOT of moving parts so its too early to say anything but will update when things have definitely happened or I've been shut down
which gives me the munchies so I look in my fridge and find 2 containers of rice from recent take out orders, some bak choy & broccoli rabe and decide to give it a shot
I used this recipe for the bak choy cooked separately, blanched the broccoli in salt water, tossed in ice water and a quick stir fry in a hot wok and chop into bite sized pieces
I recently ordered some hot chili oil from Momofuku and used that to drizzle on the finished dish (I wish Chang would bottle his own XO sauce because that sounds like a pain in the ass to make)
Came out pretty tasty but Im sure no where near as good as Lucas Sins versions:
For some reason I wanted grilled burgers, Big Mac style. Big Mac sauce, used Mayo, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet relish, garlic powder, paprika. Shredded iceberg lettuce, pickles, double cheese patty on a sesame seed bun. Patties where about 1/3rd LB, which seemed to big.
two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, ONIONS, on a sesame seed bun.
just teasing nit, those look great
and are those sour cream and cheddar pop chips on the side? we're kindred spirits if they are. the buffalo ones are also really good.
scoop either of them in cottage cheese and get back to me tomorrow.
Thanks everyone for the kudos, I was just following directions. I'd love to see amoebas version of golden rice (hint, hint, nudge, nudge amoeba)
I've been wanting to loop that song if I ever get the van up and running and found the company that makes the jungles played on the old ice cream trucks so I am going to see if they can add a bam-ba-lam version to their other tracks
ABOUT NICHOLS ELECTRONICS
Established 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Nichols Electronics Co. is the leading manufacturer of electronic music boxes for ice cream trucks in the United States.
It has always been our goal to produce the highest quality music box for the best possible price. We feel the quality of our product speaks for itself, and judging by our customer loyalty, our customers seem to agree.
Since 1985, Nichols Electronics Co. has been a member of the International Association of Ice Cream Distributors & Vendors (IAICV). This organization has been bringing ice cream vendors, large and small, together for over 35 years. Its purpose is the education and communication of responsible and ethical practices in the ice cream vending industry. For more information about this organization, go to iaicv.org or call them at (215) 564-3484.
Nichols Electronics Company manufactures electronic music chime equipment for ice cream street vending operators that provide ice cream novelty or soft serve ice cream to their customers. Our music boxes are ideal for street vending operations.
Ice cream vending is a very competitive business. You need to be heard above the background noise whether it be an urban setting or the country. Playing music from a quality made music box will announce your presence to your customers. The distinctive sound of our music boxes is immediately recognizable by people of all ages.
The sound and songs used in our music boxes are widely known throughout the country, and indeed the world. Customers who hear that sound know immediately that you are vending. Equip your ice cream trucks with a Nichols music box and move more product!
Our music boxes are built to last and remain operating in the field for many, many years. Even so, many of our customers choose to purchase a spare or back up music box unit. Losing a day of sales because your music box is not functioning can cost much more than the cost of a new music box unit. So, fire up that music box, move some product and meet your sales goals.

Yeah I hate raw onions.
Was it you that turned me on to these? Damn I think they might be discontinued, where on the clearance shelf.

Oh no, I hate that ice cream song, “Hello”. There’s this ghetto par 3 municipal golf course I play way too much that has ice cream trucks always driving around playing that song. So annoying.
