Ugh. This ****ing Car Shield commercial with Mike Ditka, trying to work in every single one of his catchphrases into the ad. The service itself also looks like a blatant scam for old people.

This glorified whipped cream commercial "make your own latte" which made the odd choice of having an old banshee of indeterminate but possibly italian nationality with a massively exaggerated accent yell something at me about 5 seconds among random vowel shrieking sounds. Seems to come on during every commercial break.

I'm not sure what it's for, but it's the one where people slap animated stickers on other people. I don't get it and I don't want to get it.

Obviously regional commercials are the worst, and regional radio commercials take it to a ho nuvva level, but the ads here in Cali for Mike Diamond the Smell Good Plumber are the hands down cringe inducing king of the WOAT. You couldn't make worse radio ads if you were purposefully trying to parody a terrible ad. Here are three of them, the first one being their main one that's been playing for years: https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PLs...&v=ih0H_iOw-dw And these play during literally almost every commercial break on many of the main stations. The only saving grace is that since I've heard them so many times, it's fun to speak along with them when they come on, mimicking the lifeless, uninspired line delivery of the main guy, Mike Diamond himself, annoying my poor wife out of her mind while she sits in shotgun helplessly held hostage to the terribleness of it all.

Not to mention he needs to fuel up for a pickup game with the boys.

There's a SimpliSafe commercial that plays on Pandora a lot where you hear a generic customer service rep answer the phone with "how can I help you" and the angry woman on the other line says, "We were just broken into. We need a home security system." "That's not our department. Please hold." (or something like that) Then the rest of the commercial is about how if you call SimpliSafe you won't get some runaround with customer service if your family is in danger or whatever. My problem is, who the **** did the woman call in the first place? She doesn't say "Hello, Generic American Security Systems, how can I help you?" For all I know the pissed off woman just dialed Alaska Airlines or anywhere else. And the customer calling sounds like an *******, like she's demanding a security system right then from whichever random business she is calling.

****ing in cars is one of those things tv and movies shows as way more common than it really is. The vast majority of car sex that does happen is teenagers who don't have a place to go.

Has anyone seen this new Ruby Tuesday spot? The woman in the commercial is such a crappy singer I can't believe they settled on her. But it's weird because it's not like she's such a blatantly terrible singer that it's intentional, like a train wreck American idol audition. It's not like the other Ruby Tuesday spot from the past few months with the ol "cheesy white lady rapping har har" about the salad bar, and her husband and kids are a little embarrassed. This is a lady flailing herself around a Ruby Tuesday La La Land style because she's overcome with excitement about some new crap entrees that are only $9.99. But she's such a solid 3/10 of a singer, while her performance and look and dancing are just fine. Like, she's sort of singing on key most of the time I guess? It makes me wonder wtf happened in the casting room that they went with her for a national spot for a large chain, since it's more like a regional commercial and this chick is the owner's niece. Maybe that's Ruby Tuesday's new angle? That their food is just like this woman, a solid 3/10 but it will do in a pinch?
