I bought a Kuerig based on this thread and love it Bought my brother one also he loves it too
I had highly recommended the Keurig in that thread, and stand by it. It is awesome.

Between then and now, I have discovered a device by which to alleviate the ONLY downside to the Kuerig. It is called the K-cap, and it works FANTASTICALLY well. In other words, you can RE-USE your K-Cups with grounds.

That's right.

Aeropress is pretty much better in every way than a french press. 3 items I use every morning:

Burr grinder
Aeropress
Electric kettle

I felt like I was wasting a ton of water and time cleaning out my French Press every time I used it. The actual press/screen/filter would just become inundated with grounds and it would take like 5 gallons of hot water and scrubbing to get them out. Plus sometimes I'd forget and the nasty grounds and leftover coffee would just sit in the carafe for a couple days. Ugh.

I ended up getting an old Starbucks Barista Aroma at a garage sale for $7. Turns out that model had been recalled, so I shipped it in and Starbucks shipped me $99.

With that I bought a fancy Krups coffemaker from Williams-Sonoma that was on sale for $50.

I now use an aeropress at home and french press at work, thinking about switching to aeropress for work too

Were you using a burr grinder with a coarse grind?

I have a Gevalia coffee maker as well. I cant imagine one being much better than another. As long as it is capable of having the coffee ready when i wake up in the morning.

I also have a Nescafe cappuccino maker, which is the absolute nuts. You just pop in one of the little capsules and 45 seconds later, BOOM, cappucino. Its just as good as Starbucks iyam. The foam makers seem to break a lot though.
