A quick update on my young relative at MIT. He is loving the school, stressing over the exams, but doing very well. I think he is happy he chose Boston over Harvey Mudd, but this is the first time he's actually been in snow, so that has been an experience.

He's has an important adviser and is doing some fun internships in his field.(robotics) Oh, to be young again.

Depending on where you are in the US those may be called apartments, condos, or townhouses because they are attached and obviously part of a single development (same construction/eg roof is obviously shared).

Ah cool, didn't know. They are called 'single family homes' (or terraced house according to google translate) here, where an apartment would be in a complex that is more flat like usually. The roof is not shared but it does run past each house. Unlike an apartment (here) you pay for your own roof though, there is no HOA or anything like that for any part of the house and you own the piece of land you bought as well where with an apartment that doesnt 'exist' usually.

That is pretty cool! My gf does a cogn neuro research master and possibly has an opportunity of working with those exact kinds of robots as well this summer, its really awesome to see how these robots (and prosthetics for example) have improved in the last decade.

That's the Gillette Stadium stop, which isn't really operational. Walpole would be your stop to use. On the Franklin Line. You could walk to one venue and cab/uber to the other. PM me if you want more details.

I actually got out of bed to take that pic, its 11am on a coldish sunday there, so no topless sunbathing yet. I have a room located higher than that pic and its excellently positioned to creep on half naked neighbors in the summer. Unfortunately they are all 50+ in age.

Im renting this house from my father, its the house we came to life in as a young family in 1990 (I was 4) when everything was still rosy (and there were a lot of young families here).

My parents divorced 7 years, my dad kept the house, found a gf, bought a new house with her and rented this out to me instead of selling because lolhousemarket. The rest of the people living here got rid of their children and are living the pensionada/close to it life. It has pro's and con's obv but its very cheap and a great/spacious place close to my work.
