It is the design. Saying any designer wallet is gay is just silly because there are plenty of male only designers. This particular Coach design is targeted towards females. I have never seen any straight male have any Coach product with their traditional design. Someone posted their black Coach wallet which is definitely designed for men and not gay.

i have this wallet:

occasionally when i take it out i get comments on it to the effect of "is that a coach wallet" etc. most people care less.

at first i was like meh this is gay but its grown on me and it is very high quality so im pleased.

They have one like your fiance bought you but all leather with no coach fabric. They last forever and the stitching doesn't come apart no matter how much stuff you put in it.

Just tell her that you'd rather have the all leather one and exchange that one. Easy game.

I wouldn't be concerned about the gayness of the gift as much as I'd be concerned about the selfish connotations of the gift. Essentially your fiancee purchased that "gift" for herself.
