Damages are minimal, and we're only talking about roughly $100USD here, so it's not a large amount of money. This is pretty much just about the principle at this point.

My view is that they advertised a service which included WiFi and did not provide the full service. Normally I'd not care too much because I have a working mobile with data, but the fact that they repeatedly warranted that the WiFi was working and then told me that it would be fixed in the morning when I discovered it wasn't working is what irritates me. If they had just been honest about it, I could have went to another hotel and had working WiFi. It feels like they deliberately lied in order to convince me to stay so they could charge me for the room.

The highest value way to resolve this is probably just writing a bad review.

The world is still a competitive place, practices like that will die organically at a pretty rapid rate.

It's not the services not working as much as it is being lied to and scammed.
