I've given 5 to every driver but one guy previously, what do you rate this guy? I'm going to a sushi place and he says he lives two miles away from there, I ask him if he has been there before and he says, "I haven't been there before, unless you are treating". I don't know what to say so there is about 20 seconds of dead silence. Then again, he says, "yes I haven't been there before unless you are treating". Silence again until I change the subject.

So what do you guys rate him?

Kerewo: I doubt it. It still shows that it pretty much sucks to do uber for a living. But for a lot of people it can be a nice way to make a little extra money on the side.

Scq: I would give an awkward laugh and then hope nothing more is said. I wouldn't let that weirdness affect my rating.

Yes, he was otherwise fine as a driver. I rate almost everyone 5 stars but was put off by this guy.

He was definately some sort of weirdo. At the wsop there is an uber tent with two people working to assist people. The driver was there when I arrived at the tent and he was bitching that someone cancelled the ride midway and he got a really low fare. So he drove back to their house and was knocking on the door to collect in in cash.

Since it seems most here would five star him, is there a way I can change my rating?

Just msg customer support (from help on left) and tell them and I'm sure they'll tell you they took care of it, but probably really not do anything.

Actually if you use the report an issue feature they prob have the thing right there on their screen and maybe would be able to just change it right there.

I wouldn't bother tho.

99% chance he was just joking and didn't actually expect a complete stranger (customer) to invite him to dinner and cover his bill. Do not report this guy

You should have played along and said "I'd invite you but I'm meeting your sister and if she sees you she'll be too embarrassed to put out". You probably would have made a life-long friend if you had said that

I still don't understand how uber is legal, at least in New York, where the shadow van underground cab system developed in the 80s faced constant legal attack from police and prosecutors. I wonder what other "disruptive" business models are perfectly legal if done by a certain class of people but are illegal if done by another.

That's a shame because, in my experience, in order to receive legitimate pricing in Budapest cabs you have to call a reputable company as opposed to hailing one on the street. In most places, Uber forces taxis to up their game re transparency, service, cleanliness, etc., due to competition. But it looks like the taxi lobby is strong in Budapest.
