Like I said in that thread, I expect it to be incredibly fascinating. I'm just not sure it will be for the right reasons. Actually, I don't have a freaking clue what those reasons would be.

Meh, reminds me of when OOT found the Stripperweb site...

I'm not optimistic.

I felt like this when i saw maury levy in a whataburger commercial.

a few wire alumnus are getting work, at least (mcnulty, omar, daniels).

This reminds me. I had a dream the other night where I was going to test out Euro's theory that SQE is just a creepy comment bot, so I checked his posting history and it was mostly just really bizarre porn, like he had spent most of his time on 2+2 posting hentai and squid porn and a lot of other weird ****, and had only recently switched to creepy comments.

ahahahaha wow. I've never heard of Veronica Mars, it's on Instant so I looked it up. The premise seems pretty terrible. Ridiculously hot "tough girl" blah blah blah almost always loses me but this show is actually really awesome.

Watch it if you haven't seen it

Don't forget Idris Elba was in The Losers, and is starring in a mini-series called Luther. Lots of the Wire alum are getting work, even if it is just in other HBO shows like Generation Kill and True Blood.

My favorite appearance by an actor from an HBO show lately is Dean Winters from Oz in those Allstate commercials where he plays "Mayhem". A bunch of people from Oz have moved onto bigger things, JK Simmons can play J Jonah Jameson all he wants, but he'll always be a butt-raping white supremacist to me.

If you haven't seen it all, get ready to waste the next week of your life followed by probably another week being pissed off that there is no more.

That's Dennis Duffy noob.

Just looked him up had no idea he was on Oz, let alone such a big part of the show.

Still, without him, it'd be almost impossible to get coffee in NYC.

That guy has some story where he recently cheated death and was laid up for a long time and this gig is his first in getting back to 'normal' life. Or something. Maybe I'll go find it.

Hahaha! I looked that up, had no idea Winters was on 30 Rock...maybe I need to make time to watch that show after all.

And yes in Oz he was one of the main characters throughout the entire run, and he was fantastic.

You cannot call somebody a noob when their reference outdates yours, plus he was a much bigger character on OZ than he was on 30 Rock. You have shamed yourself sir. SHAMED.

Even the poker episode is pretty good. Veronica is so random with her boyfriends though, she seems to just randomly abandon. It's weird because while she's obviously hugely vindictive she's likeable other than the boyfriends.

She's a genius. What's more ironic than writing a song about irony and fooling everyone into thinking you got the definition wrong?

Dean Winters has been a regular TV actor for years, calling him Dennis Duffy is lol.

Re: The Wire actors, Michael B. Jordan (aka Wallace) has been a regular on FNL and has been really good.

Being the face of a major company like All State is like a good sign for Winters' career. He's replacing Pedro Cerrano!

Levy was in an Arby's ad, not a Whataburger ad, noob.
11-15-2010 , 03:24 PM
Didn't Noah post about how his dad made a ton of money for being in a national commercial? I am sure Dean Winters is making a ton of money for like 2 weeks of work.

He said in the article I linked that it's his biggest payday ever.

Dominic West (Mcnulty) to star in Mad Men-esque Brit show in a 1950's newsroom

Stolen from OOTV LC. I want this show now.
