I think this is a better idea than just having a thread for each episode, considering how few posts there are per ep.
Neway, 30 Rock is back. Anyone else pumped? I remember this show KILLING it before the strike, hopefully it continues that level of quality (or even improves?).
Based on how money Tina Fey was when she hosted Saturday Night Live, I have no worries for the future of 30 Rock. If Tracy Morgan goes back on his meds, then I retract the previous statement.
Average episode, but I'm not complaining. Very happy to have this and the office back so I have a comedy on that I actually look forward to.
Jack was great as usual, my main issue was with the hand stuck in the vending machine part. I mean really? After a writer strike that is what we get? Hand stuck in a vending machine?
D+ in a non grade inflated society (relative to other 30 rock episodes). milf island just didnt flow at all. not too many great lines. jack killed as always. one nice leg shot of ceri. agreed on the stupidity of the vending machine. not enough tracy. loved the american gladiator cutout in the elevator. hopefully it gets back to where it was cuz it was really clicking pre strike.
It was definitely a subpar episode. That they had to devote any time to that Pete and the vending machine cliche shows they're nowhere near the top of their game and had to fill a void. Baldwin carried the ep with performance.
I probably wouldn't have really noticed or cared too much that this was a subpar episode, except that I had a friend over last night who'd never seen the show before. So I got to build it up as an awesome cutting-edge comedy only to get to look at a fat guy trapped under a vending machine.
Anyway, whatever. I still love this show and want to marry Tina Fey.
Is there a reason she's not a bigger star? I can't tell her acting chops from her small role on 30 Rock but you really don't have to be that good if you look like that.

She's 19 years old and this is basically her first acting gig. Seems like a good start to me.
