If you hold on the symbol button, then slide over to comma and release, it should go back to letters automatically.

I've been using it for 2 months and the predictions are getting scarily good. My typing speed has also improved dramatically.

Damn you all. Nexus 7 arriving tomorrow.

iPhone contract is up in about 6 months. If Android is working for me will probably change phone as well.

What's the best thing to use for backing up a nexus 5 before a reset?

Really impressed with Android and the Nexus 7 so far. Recommendations in here have been excellent - Swift key is superb. Mostly have been busy adding apps and widgets. Saving Nova Launcher and Tasker for another day.

Think I've managed to port most things across from my ipad- music, photos and email anyway, we'll see how easy it is to keep it all synced.

Most importantly of all, the two plus two app is way better than the ipad one.

Free is only good for a month. Just an extended trial, basically.

You also get stats like how many corrections it has made, how much distance your finger has swyped, etc.

Yea this seems a lot better thanks. Although this seems kinda tricky in Outlook 2010 but I'll figure something out.

Getting close now for sure. With the recent leaks of Apple's Healthbook app and it's features makes me really excited for these kinds of products as I'm an fitness/sensor geek.

I dunno, I'm really off the boil for wearables right now. The LG G watch looks decent, I just dont dig the mock ups of the 360. I guess I have an aversion to circular screens. Watches (at least most) are round because of the hands going round, smart watches shouldnt try and copy this paradigm.

I am especially not sold on the mock ups use of space, like 60% of the screen is trying to be pretty which for me is wasted space - its a goram info delivery device, 60% of the screen shouldnt be a static background info related to the 40% of screen that I want to see. I hope this is something that is more circle screen based and the G Watch with the rectangular screen could look better.

I actually think the Samsung Gear Fit is the nicest wearable from a looks POV (though even that could be better, ldo). When we are moving into active screens I dont want a "watch" watch, I want a "bracelet" that has a curved screen in it that hugs my wrist.

If Samsung or someone else makes an Android Wear in the format of the Gear Fit I may start buzzing about this again. I also think that eventual consumer model Glass will be a big release.

That moto watch is the only good looking so far, i can understand your practical point of view but every single other watch look like some outdated toy while i could see myself wear something like the moto one.
The thing that bother me is the color of google now that look a bit flashy when you have something displayed.
I m sure this generation of watch is still some early adopter crap and not worth it but this week is promising

Tried Textra. It keeps sending me notifications of old texts. I drove across town earlier because I thought my buddy said he was home when I texted him. It was a notification of him answering my text from a week ago lol.

I know there is a app than disables your security PIN code when you are on your home WIFI or connected to certain bluetooth device but I have no idea what the function is called so I have no idea how to find it in the Play Store, anyone know of an app like this?

I searched "disable pin on home wifi" and the first app redirected me to their newer version called SkipLock. That looks like exact what you're looking for. When searching for an app just type a general idea and you can usually find it.

You can do that with Llama and Tasker.

I have it set up in Llama. Go in set your conditions (you can specify the wifi and bluetooth device) and then set the action to set screen lock password to blank.

Having group MMS issues. Using Textra. I don't get group texts half the time...seems random and no clue what the deal is.

Occasionally when first installing Textra I've noticed group chat problems. After checking "use mms for group chats" this seems to fix it completely.

Hi,

do you know how to do the same thing in Tasker? I've looked around a bit but, didn't find a way.

Any way to get to get SwiftKey to start auto correcting accidental long pushes? Like if I accidentally type "he)lo" it won't even suggest "hello"

It's possible to change the time it takes to go from the regular key to the secondary key in settings. I made the time much shorter but maybe you'd like it longer?

Also, that's what she said.

You need the Security Settings plugin and use the "clear password" and "set password" function (iirc).

There are ~20 free apps in the amazon appstore for a birthday celebration. Looks like some kids games and some other stuff that comes bundled on certain phones like swype and polaris, but may be worth checking out. Read that people are also getting MP3 credits for downloading the apps even though they are free
