if you want a small phone you can find a ton of decent chinese phone that cost nothing
In france we have the wiko brand which is insane value with wiko slim wich is 4" for 130€ and if you want a bit bigger wiko cink peax 170€ for 4.5" with some dual core, and they have dual sim for the few people that might need it.
Good brand are awefull for smaller phones since they are still way too pricy considering their ****ty specs

Re: Games, I have been <3ing Nimble Quest recently. Its pixelated graphics are awesome and its a cool take on the Snake game format as you take a conga line of adventurers with different attack skills and armour (like an RPG) against a bunch of enemies who you have to kill before you loot the gems they drop which can be used to buy upgrades and like Snake if you run into yourself or a wall or an enemy you lose.

As a couple tips dont invest coins (the rarer currency in the freemium model) in the temp upgrades before you start a level, instead they are more useful to buy continues when you die. Also your conga line of heroes will include one of every type you unlock but you only lose on being hit by the enemy attacks if the front guy you start with runs out of energy so its usually better to start with a higher armour guy with a weak short attack and then stack the weaker range guys behind both to use the armour as a shield when attacking but also gives you survivability.

Time will tell but I expect that Facebook will ensure it is on all carriers. Also once you go out of Facebook Home it just runs normal vanilla Android similar to the Nexus only without the Nexus fast updates, so even if you dont use Facebook the Facebook phone might be perfect for you if you want a small phone.

It also apparently has LTE, which may or may not be helpful to you on US Cellular.

I love my Android smartphone even if it's really not a high-end smartphone (Alcatel One Touch). I enjoy the Shazam app, I like listening to music but most of the time I don't know the title or the artist of the song.

right. I would need to compare, but if the quality and spec level is on par with Razr M then...why would I want to switch? looks very similar or even identical in terms of display, CPU, screen size, battery, but the Razr M was launched like 7 months ago? so no reason to switch to it, unless Home is want you want. also I haven't paid attention at all to it, but my guess is that the First will not be a great performer if Home is a resource hog.

it is nice to see though that a new phone with big marketing support is being launched in this form factor

(you may be replying to people in general who want a small one, not me who is constantly harping on it

Just noticed password sync is working for me now on Chrome mobile. I didnt change any settings or anything so I guess it just took time for the password data to cache or whatever.

This may be by design but it doesn't appear to "work" when you visit the desktop site on your laptop but the mobile version on your phone; a personal example being Hotmail/Outlook.

It is a great time killer, but it is far too highly geared for $ purchases in the end game of multiplayer. If you dont have both the Pope hat and gold crown you will be fairly sizably disadvantaged depending on which course you are playing.

It also tends to become very robotic after you have played a bunch of games. You learn the optimal route inc when to use the powerups and the game just devolves into who got that fraction of a degree better shot with just the right amount of power to get the right ricochet.

On the upside at least it is a balanced game with no first move advantage but some kind of randomisation would make the game more interesting imo.
