Here are the ones that I have:
The Psychology of Poker by Dr. Schoonmaker - I have a first edition sixth printing but there is a second edition available.
Tournament Poker for Advanced Players by David Sklansky - I have a third edition first printing but there is a fourth edition available.
Heads Up No-Limit Hold 'Em Expert Advice for Winning Heads-Up Poker Matches by Collin Moshman- I have a first edition first printing but there is a second edition available.
Harrington on Online Cash Games 6 Max No Limit Hold 'Em by Action Dan - I have a first edition first printing but there is a second edition available.
The Theory of Poker Applied to No Limit by David Sklansky - I have a first edition first printing but there is a second edition available.
What revisions were made to these? How critical is it that I seek out the latest editions?
Some of these newer editions are actually very recent. I also bought some of these books from Amazon when the newer editions were available, but Amazon sent an older one.
I appreciate any insights that anyone might have.
Hi Stud:
We're in the process of moving all our books into Amazon and when we do this we're editing them again which produces the new edition. But unless we make an announcement of a major rewrite, the only differences are a few type-os getting fixed, a few commas added, and a word changed here and there. So, there is no need for you to update any of the books listed.
So far, the only book where a major rewrite has taken place is with
Hold 'em Poker For Advanced Players: 21st Century Edition which now has the title of
Limit Hold 'em For Advanced Players: 2023 Edition. This is the only book where you would want to get the update.
I may also produce a new version of my book
Gambling Theory and Other Topics, where an enthusiastic person might want the new version, but that won't happen until the end of the year.
Best wishes,
Mason
