I just got a tablet with a Barnes & Noble and a Kindle app. I am looking for a good starter book for Omaha and its variants. I have Supersystem 1 and 2, but skipped over that stuff before. Is it a good place to start? Thanks in advance.

I have read the four books by Hwang and even though everyone seems to love it, I must say that I don't think it is that good.
If it is the common case of transitioning from nlhe to plo, I would rather recommend reading the PLO book by slowhabit Nguyen to get some basic ideas and then putting some volume playing.
Then it might be a good idea to check out the Hwang's PLO III Short Handed workbook and to go thru the examples and see how much does it differ from how you play.

Don´t know if it still matters to you, but i read the first book of hwang (PLO big play strategy) and found it pretty helpfull. Basic concepts and how your game approach in PLO differs from NLHE get explained well for beginners. If you´re already an advanced player i doubt that this book will help your game.

I would have to agree with BluesBro. I'm by no means an expert PLO player, but I found the book helpful as well as a rank beginner. I remember from my own research it came pretty well recommended
