Not JV's books. Killer Poker By The Numbers was written by another guy, Guido-something. I know they both collaborated on Killer Poker Short Handed, a 6-max NL book. I don't know if that one used MCU Notation.

theres a tournament poker by the numbers book due out later this year... not sure if he will keep the MCU notation, however, i think i remember reading a post after the previous one was released where he said he had made a mistake using MCU in the first one.

you're gonna end up wasting poker money on unecessary books. as someone else mentioned, get 2 or 3 (plenty of great suggestions) and keep reading and re-reading. spotting tells (or betting patterns) is something that comes with experience. yes, a guy shaking his knee might mean something, but you won't have any idea what if you just read about it in a book.

Deuces Cracked/Stox Poker membership is higher EV than owning 15 different books.

You probably already know this, but make sure you don't get suckered into buying Phil Gordon's books. I picked them for cheap and still feel ripped off.

I heard it was not not worth anything cause it was a lessen version of super system.

I think that I will pull the trigger and by it. I found it on cragslist for 15 bucks and I have been throwing around the idea.

Harrington on Hold 'Em I and II is best for figuring out every last detail, aspect, and scenario of tournament play from start to eliminating the final table.

Harrington on Cash Gamges might be telling you what you already know, but it is rather thorough and detailed, something alot of books miss is hand-by-hand, decision-by-decision walk-throughs of not only why you should do something, but also why you shouldn't.

Caro's books on tells, which you've already read, is the most efficient for learning how to look for and interpret tells, even if it isn't a quick-way to success (I have more luck just asking people if they have a good hand).

I think caros tells helped me out but nothing compared to read 'em and reap by navarro something, best ever.

but I wanted to ask your opinion on harrington books. I am mainly cash player so should I start out with the cash books or should I read the harrington on hold 'em vol I

since I have not read his books and alot of the times (super system and super system 2) the first book is better.
