I have been away from poker for quite a while, and have just mucked around at 25NL zoom for a few nights. Reading this forum it sounds like the games are 10x harder than when I last played. But playing the games, the fish are still donating, the weak players still folding, and the regs are easy enough to avoid.

Is this just a poker heater sucking me back in, or are you guys playing this up in your heads too much?

5bb/100 is now crushing Zoom at any stakes above 5NL. There's a lot of swings involved. I'd guess you're on a heater, though I'm not sure how many hands you've played.

Hey guys, I'm playing a bit of 25nl-zoom and want to make it a sidegame as I'm a MTT + MTT-SNG player but it would be nice to be able to have some different games to grind here and there for whatever reasons.
I've only played 6k hands on the current sample but something I've noticed is that my redline is plumetting very sharply and consistently.

Now I'm effectively a very average player when it comes to cash-games, and as a result I also have a pretty poor ability of estimating my variance however I do feel like I'm running a bit poorly in non-sd pots, and also feel like the aggression levels at zoom are causing me to get runover quite a bit. It feels like people are constantly making weird plays, in fact a lot of the times where I've made the money at sd it has been when people are running silly bluffs for stacks.
I just basically want to know if I should be alarmed or not, I feel it's very possible I have some big unconscious leaks. Maybe I am opening way too wide and should be developing the discipline to find stronger spots, given the high aggression levels in these games?
Being a MTT player I'm also finding that the small cbets that are so effective in tournaments just don't seem to work in zoom, it's like people are just reading them as weakness and going nuts against them even though I try to be balanced in that regard.

Basically sorry for rambling but I'd like to see some large sample graphs of people who have played 25nl zoom, and what sort of winrates can be attained over a meaningful sample in these games?
Also, what sort of stats do the top winners run at? I'm apprehensive to changeup my game so soon because the sample is so miniscule and maybe I'm playing strongly but variance is causing my redline to drop?

Cheers in advance, Shelly.

Is that FR? I think I've seen you around there.

my red line is terrible too, I'm not sure why. Fwiw One of the best regs at 50nl fr zoom has a -8bb/100 non sd win rate.

I'm afraid I can't say much more, I'm having a hard time there albeit I'm 8 tabling zoom, it's a weird limit tho nd I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong there.

Ye forgot to say it's FR, 2-tabling which seems about right for me in terms of giving good focus to my decisions and the effects of my notorious emotional imbalance.

How good are you against pair+OESD(QJ/T8/98)/2pair/sets/flopped straights here? From my experience Villain usually overbets with these kinds of hands

Villain is shipping vulnerable but strong 1p+ hands not draws.
