At a guess, you're probably playing too loose and too passive, like most beginners to online games. You're probably calling pre-flop and post-flop way too often too.
Have you tried Googling for 6-max pre-flop hand charts?
I'd recommend doing that, posting a link, and then asking us if it's a good/contemporary one, or any other queries about it.
Everyone has their own personal preferences for opening ranges, so although there probably is an optimal range for each game format, no one can agree on it.
